We Eat Everything on the Costco Menu – Australian Costco Tour

Exceptional service and quality food. We normally go to the one in lutz because its closer to home but stopped by this location while out shopping. The gentleman taking orders today 11/13 around 2pm was wonderful, patient and accommodating despite being slammed. Kudos to him and the team at this location.

Crazy how good it was. Very very very satisfied with the quality of the food, the speed in which they prepared it made to order and got it to our car. Ive never seen a drive through dine in restaurant and Im amazed at how close to the actual thing it was.

Aussie Grill Opens First Southwest Florida Location In Fort Myers

Southwest Florida has a new fast-casual dining option, and its not just new to the region. Its new to the world.

Aussie Grill, a spinoff from Outback Steakhouse, openedMonday at12916 S. Cleveland Ave., inFort Myers near the Bell Tower. The first Aussie Grill openedJanuary 2019 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The pandemic slowed growth in 2020, but now there are 12 restaurants: seven in Florida, three in Saudi Arabia and two in Hong Kong.More are planned to open later this year.

Brazil has 70 ghost kitchens with theAussie Grill theme for takeout only. But the Fort Myers location has seating for about 68 diners. There are about50 employees and a menu of burgers, sandwiches and salads in the $10 range.

There are frieson the menubut no Bloomin Onion like at Outback, because those take longer to cook and dont fit in with the fast-casual concept, said Aussie Grill CEO Suk Singh.

In 2018, we decided we really needed a concept that would appeal to the international market, said Singh, former chief development officer of Bloomin Brands, the parent company of Outback Steakhouse.

Aussie Grill spent about $1.3 million on reshaping the building, which for more than 20 years had been a Boston Market.

Outback Dabbles In Fast

TAMPA Bloomin’ Brands is using its most successful restaurant to spinoff a new fast-casual chain: Aussie Grill by Outback.

The Tampa-based company will begin testing its new burger-and-sandwich-focused eatery at International Plaza mall in late April. It will be Aussie Grill’s American debut. Bloomin’ opened locations in Saudi Arabia and Hong Kong earlier this year.

“We will open some locations in the Tampa market to monitor and fine-tune the concept as needed,” Bloomin’ spokeswoman Elizabeth Watts said in a statement.

The fast-casual setup is new to the Bloomin’ portfolio, which includes standard sit-down restaurants such as Carrabba’s Italian Grill, Bonefish Grill and Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar. Bloomin’ has also been testing Outback and Carrabba’s Express locations, which focus on larger carry-out orders for families.

Fast-casual restaurants, like the new Aussie Grill, don’t use wait staffs. Rather, customers order their meals at a counter.

“Aussie Grill by Outback was developed primarily for international growth,” Watts said. “The fast-casual service model allows franchisees to operate in a smaller footprint, with lower investment while still serving high-quality food.”

Although Aussie Grill’s locations abroad have in-house seating areas, records filed with the city of Tampa show Tampa’s Aussie Grill will take over the food court spot previously occupied by Johnny Rockets.
