Taco Bells Best Burrito Ever Is Coming Back This Week

Taco Bell NEW Chipotle Ranch Grilled Chicken Burrito Food Review

When Taco Bell first released its perhaps cheesiest burrito ever, it didnt take long for fans to fall in love with the item. In fact, praise like the chains best dish in years and best burrito ever was bestowed on the new burrito, which is no small feat considering how frequently the chain delights its die-hard fans with some epic new concoction or another.

The $2.99 item was an indulgent version of the classic American grilled cheese in burrito form. Taco Bell said that was the literal inspiration behind it, and sure enough, besides the seasoned beef, rice, crunchy red strips, chipotle sauce, and sour cream, the burrito featured the chains proprietary cheese blend on the inside as well as crusted onto the outside of its tortilla.

Then, in true Taco Bell fashion, the addiction-inducing cheesy burrito left the menus several weeks later, and its fans had a collective conniption fit. Yes, they protested this removal almost as much as the discontinuation of the Mexican Pizza, even starting another petition for its return. Lucky for them, this was always meant to be a limited-time item, so the fact that its currently unavailable can only mean one thingit will be coming back soon enough.

Another user said they had heard about the return of the Grilled Cheese Burrito from a local Taco Bell employee.

Chicken Caesar Grilled Stuft Burrito

The Chicken Caesar Grilled Stuft Burrito was a burrito containing chicken, crunchy red strips, romaine lettuce, and Caesar dressing. It was available in the United States during summer 2003, and made a limited-edition return to Canada in 2008.

The former menu item has a large cult following through several revival campaign pages on Facebook, and it tops practically every bring back an item list.

Unfortunately The Beefy Melt Burrito Was A Pretty Big Disappointment

The burrito ended up being as dry as it looked. I couldnt taste the nacho cheese sauce at all and barely got any beef. At first, I thought I was given a vegetarian burrito instead, until I saw a few shredded pieces of meat hidden under the rice.

Overall, the burrito just didnt have much going for it. There was no real flavor except for the rice and definitely not enough cheese, meat, or sauce.

Thankfully, though, the two Taco Bell burritos that followed were vast improvements.

Chicken Burrito Bowl Ingredients

CHIPOTLE BURRITO

I honestly dont know which aspect of this burrito bowl recipe I like the most the ranch seasoning chicken? the cilantro lime rice? the chipotle ranch avocado crema? Impossible to choose!

Heres what youll need to make these easy burrito bowls:

  • Chicken breasts: Need to be pounded to an even thickness so they cook through evenly.
  • Cilantro lime rice: Made using my favorite recipe, which you can find here.
  • Hidden Valley Ranch Greek Yogurt Salad Dressing Mix: The star of the show! I use this to season the chicken and flavor the avocado crema.
  • Spices: This dish is loaded with spices, including: cumin, chili powder, chipotle chili powder, and cayenne.
  • Avocado: The base of the avocado crema. The smooth avocado perfectly complements the slightly spicy chicken.
  • Greek yogurt: Use plain full-fat Greek yogurt for the richest texture.
  • Mayonnaise: You can replace this with more Greek yogurt, if desired.
  • Lime juice: Adds tang and cuts through the creamy avocado, yogurt, and mayo.
  • Garnishes: Ive included a long list of garnishes I love on my homemade burrito bowl. But use your favorites!

Holy Sh*tthe Chipotle Ranch Grilled Chicken Burrito Is Reminds Me Of The Old Mcdonalds Snack Wraps

I know this is a Taco Bell sub but man do I miss the crispy ranch snack wrap

It’s even worse because mcdonalds overseas has them, we just don’t deserve good things T_T

Did you try one of the Cantina Crispy Chicken Tacos when Taco Bell had them a little while back? Theyre pretty reminiscent. I believe theyre actually coming back this upcoming experience, so if you havent tried one, you should!

Same, Ive been missing it for years and tried to recreate it and home but its just not the same

The snack wraps were my go-to “lower cal” thing when they were around. And actually tasty.

My favorite was the Santa Fe wrap. It was amazing. I miss it every day.

Me too, idk why but it was without a doubt my favorite item of McDonalds of all time, was the only item from McDonalds I ate more than once in a blue moon. I would get the grilled one and it honestly was a great way to get a simple snack that wasnt fried or super greasy but still hit the McDonald craving spot lol.

I still crave them even though they were so simple and I probably could make it at home really, but as we all know you cant ever really replicate a McDs experience

Overall I Thought Two Of The Three New Taco Bell Burritos Were Great And Would Definitely Order Them Again

I love that Taco Bell is mixing things up with the new Chipotle Ranch Grilled Chicken Burrito, and was even more impressed by the Fiesta Veggie Burritos exciting flavors. The Beefy Melt Burrito could definitely use a few tweaks , but overall I think the chains new Cravings Value Menu has a lot to offer.

Taco Bell has been delivering exciting new menu items pretty consistently, and I cant wait to see what we get next.

First Look: New Epic Fajita Steak And Potato And Chicken Chipotle Ranch Burritos From Del Taco

There was a time when the word epic was reserved for only the vast and fantastical battles against three headed dragons, not drinking for 48 hours straight and waking up Monday morning sans hangover. So with that frame of reference, let’s consider this important question: is it at all possible for a fast food burrito to be called truly, truly epic?

Damn straight.

FOODBEAST was invited out to Del Taco headquarters in Lake Forest, Calif. to preview the brand’s newest line of “Epic Burritos.” These dense, monstrous 18-ouncers will be hitting stores this Thursday, November 7, and we’ve got your first look.

______

The Epic Fajita Burrito: Your quintessential Mexican fajita plate wrapped up in Del Taco’s proprietary new tortilla. Features your choice of grilled chicken or steak, roasted vegetables, pinto beans, cotija cheese, rice, black beans, sour cream, and guacamole.

______

The Epic Steak and Potato: The ultimate drunk-time noms. Grilled carne asada steak, crinkle-cut fries, chipotle sauce, bacon bits, grated cheddar cheese, and sour cream. Our favorite by far, but can you really expect otherwise?

_____

The Epic Chicken Chipotle Ranch: Grilled chicken, rice, chipotle and ranch sauce, bacon bits, grated cheddar cheese, lettuce, guacamole, and pico de gallo salsa. The freshest-feeling of the bunch, but a little cream-heavy thanks to both sauces.

_____

Fingers crossed for a carnitas fries version. Just saying.

Taco Bell: Fresco Chicken Soft Taco

Sara B./Yelp

Taco Bells fresco menu is one of the more impressive developments by a fast-food chain. Instead of loading its tacos and burritos with cheese, mayo-based sauces, and reduced-fat sour cream, Taco Bell will substitute a scoopful of its freshly prepared pico de gallo. This swap brings the fresco chicken soft taco to a modest 150 calories with 3.5 grams of fat and less than a gram of sodium.

Taco Bell Is Testing 2 New Chicken Burritos Here’s How To Try Them

The restaurant supply chain has been disrupted throughout the pandemic, with the restaurant labor supply taking center stage in recent months. Recently, social media has been upset to learn that Taco Bell has grown so dysfunctional of late, that it’s experiencing food shortages and full on outages with regard to a number of fan favorites. Taco Bell apologized on its website stating that “due to national ingredient shortages and delivery delays, we may be out of some items.”

Including among the missing are various chicken items, according to CBS News. But right now there is literally a bright spot for fans of Taco Bell’s chicken menu items, and that bright spot would be Oklahoma. More specifically, it appears that Taco Bells in the Oklahoma City area are testing out two new chicken burritos. Here is what the lucky locals will want to know about how to try these new Taco Bell menu items.

When I Unwrapped The Beefy Melt Burrito I Couldnt Help But Feel A Little Underwhelmed

Grilled Chicken Burrito Bowls. Chipotle burrito bowls copycat recipe ...

Of the three new flavors, the Beefy Melt Burrito was the one I had been most excited about. Its promotional pictures reminded me of the Grilled Cheese and Double Steak Grilled Cheese Burritos, which seemed like a very good sign.

Yet unlike its predecessors, which had been oozing with cheese from the moment I unwrapped them, the Beefy Melt Burrito just looked kind of naked and average at first glance.

But like a good book, you should never judge a burrito by its cover or, erm, tortilla. The real test, I knew, was all in the taste.

Taco Bell Is Currently Testing The Burritos In A Single City

The only thing better than a Taco Bell burrito stuffed with all your favorite fixingsincluding a flavorful green chile sauce or creamy chipotle ranchis a Taco Bell burrito stuffed with all your favorite fixingsfor only $2. Lucky for you, that’s what you can get at Taco Bell right now.

Our trusty pals at T-Bell introduced a Salsa Verde Grilled Chicken Burrito and Chipotle Ranch Grilled Chicken Burrito for only two bucks a pop. The Cravings Value Menu additions have officially hit stores, but with a stipulationthey’re available exclusively in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Though these monstrous burritos are only available in a single test market right now, we have to trust Taco Bell’s process. These trial runs typically rollout on a broader basis following success, which we can only expect.

The Salsa Verde Grilled Chicken Burrito features all-white-meat chicken, seasoned rice, sour cream, and a blend of Cheddar, mozzarella, and pepper jack cheeses with a green chile sauce all wrapped in a warm flour tortilla. Meanwhile, the Chipotle Ranch Grilled Chicken Burrito boasts that same white meat chicken but with crunchy fiesta tortilla chips, shredded lettuce, shredded Cheddar cheese, diced tomatoes, and both an avocado ranch and creamy chipotle sauce.

Next Up Was The Chipotle Ranch Grilled Chicken Burrito

I was super excited to try the Chipotle Ranch Grilled Chicken Burrito, which looked very different from anything Ive recently tested at the chain.

According to Taco Bells website, this burrito includes grilled chicken, fiesta strips, avocado ranch sauce, creamy chipotle sauce, lettuce, tomatoes, and shredded cheddar cheese wrapped inside a warm flour tortilla.

Chipotle Ranch Grilled Chicken

Taco Bell Chipotle Ranch Grilled Chicken Burrito (Reed Reviews)

Not too many ingredients bring a huge punch of flavor like chipotle peppers in adobo sauce. This is one reason Chipotle Ranch Grilled Chicken has so few ingredients.

A simple and tasty meal all cooked on the grill if you add some corn on the cob.

Brush the corn with olive oil, kosher salt, and pepper.

And the cook time on the grill is the same

What Happened To The Grilled Stuft Burrito

Taco Bell eventually discontinued the Grilled Stuft Burrito and later around 2009 Taco Bell Launched an XXL Grilled Stuft Burrito with seasoned beef, a three-cheese blend, rice, refried beans, sour cream, guacamole, pico de gallo, and avocado ranch. It wasnt the same anymore and certainly didnt meet the expectations of the original. As of a result, both toasted burritos are discontinued today.

Thankfully, Taco Bell sells Baja Sauce in squeezable bottles right in the Mexican aisle of major Grocery Stores So, bringing back Grilled Stuft Burritos is possible! And if you cant find Baja Sauce just make my Creamy Jalapeño Sauce!

Furthermore, if you dont own a Panini Press just use a skillet to toast each side. These Burritos come together so quickly and taste like Original Grilled Stuffed Burritos Id order back in the day! So happy I can make them at home for a fraction of the price!

Make the Original Grilled Stuffed Burrito at home like the Burritos Taco Bell used to make back in 2005! The true Grilled Stuft Burrito with baja sauce not the later XXL Burrito. Im bringing back my favorite Taco Bell menu item All you need is flour tortillas, rice, refried beans, pico de gallo, baja sauce, and cheese!

Can I Meal Prep These Burrito Bowls

Homemade burrito bowls make excellent meal prep if you want to prep them ahead of time and serve later. Simply pack the warm ingredients together and the cold ingredients separately.

    Heres how:

  • Divide rice between 4-6 containers.
  • Top with cheese followed by chicken and any desired veggies.
  • Dont close containers until chicken has cooled.
  • If using, chop lettuce, tomatoes and cilantro and store in separate plastic bags or airtight containers so you can reheat the warm ingredients without wilting the fresh ingredients.
  • Blend Avocado Crema in the blender and transfer to an airtight container. Press a piece of plastic wrap against the surface of the crema, cover and refrigerate OR divide between 4-6 plastic bags, squeeze out excess air and twirl the bag to eliminate extra air.
