A Casa Mexico Restaurant Is Being Fitted Out In The Former Moe’s Southwest Grill Which Closed Earlier This Year
FARGO The La Fiesta Mexican & American Grill near West Acres has closed, but another Mexican option is on the way for south Fargo.
La Fiesta’s closing was announced online and on the front door.
To our Beloved customers, we are sad to announce, we have officially closed our doors of business, a sign taped to the restaurants front door reads.
But we have good news. Our restaurant Casa Mexico has the same menu and same amazing food. They would love to have you as a customer.
Thank you for your support all this time. We appreciate you. So sorry for inconvenience, the sign said.
A similar, shorter message on the restaurants website confirmed that the closure is permanent.
Owner Sergio Aguirre, reached Tuesday, Sept. 6, said that the lease was up on the La Fiesta building 1109 38th St. S. and that he decided that rather than renewing, he would close the restaurant. La Fiesta had first opened in early October, 2019.
Aguirre is now focused on opening a Casa Mexico in the former Moes Southwest Grill spot at 2511 Kirsten Lane S., Fargo.
He said he plans to open the new restaurant in the next few weeks.
Well open as soon as we can, Aguirre said.
Aguirre is a successful restaurateur, operating outlets for more than 30 years in the region and elsewhere.
He opened a Casa Mexico restaurant in November 2019 in the Time Square East mall at 4900 13th Ave. S.
