How Long Does It Take To Grill Chicken
Depending on how hot your grill is, it can take up to 10 minutes to grill these chicken tenders. Personally, I like to do about 3 minutes on each side of the chicken, so it takes me between 6 and 7 minutes. That number can vary though, and if you slice into a tender and decide its still too pink, trust your judgement and cook it longer.
What Temperature Should My Smoker Be At
Consistent temperature is the key to smoking. The ideal temperature range for most smoking is 225°F to 250°F. A simple way to monitor temperature is to place a meat thermometer in the top vent of your grill, so the probe hangs down and measures the temperature of the air inside the grill.

The Best Grilled Chicken Marinade
I started making this chicken and marinade about 20 years ago when we were stationed in London. Many of us Americans would get together and have Super Bowl parties. It was a comaraderie thing. Nothing like being with your fellow countrymen and eating all your favorite foods from home. My little chicken on a stick soon became a favorite of our friends and it was regularly requested at get-togethers. And I’m happy to say it is still a favorite in our home.
Why Grill Chicken Tenders
These juicy and flavorful chicken breast tenders are of my favorite things to cook in the grill pan or on a grill. Why? Well, first because I love chicken and then because they are so quick to cook. Either you marinade them for hours or just for 30 minutes before cooking, the grilled strips will still be moist and wonderful.
And the best thing? They are so versatile. You can serve them as they are with some potato wedges, rice, or bread on the side. You can slice and serve them on salad for a super-healthy low-carb dinner. You can let them cool, make sandwiches, take them on a picnic or work the next day. Really, the possibilities are endless.
A great meal for any day of the week, but also perfect for long summer days when you decide to use the grill outside.

Snap the the lid on. And pop it into the fridge for at least 4 hours or overnight.
When chicken is ready, soak your wooden skewers in water for at least a half an hour . Obviously you can skip this step if using metal skewers.
Cook for about 5-6 minutes per side . It’s really important that you flip the chicken using tongs and you handle it by the meat portion of the skewer. Don’t try flipping using the skewer itself. Metal ones will be too hot to handle at this point and the wooden ones might break. Allow to cool for a couple of minutes before serving.Grilling Pro Tip: To keep food from sticking to your grill, you need to make sure you scrub off any baked-on food that might still be on your grill grates or your chicken is just going to stick to that blackened char. Don’t have a grill brush? Just preheat your gas grill to high for a few minutes and close the lid. Open it up, turn down the heat, and scrub grates with a wad of aluminum foil. Works for me every time!

How Do You Grill Chicken Tenders
When you are ready to grill the chicken, pre heat your grill. An outdoor grill is not necessary, you can use a grill pan to get that charred flavor and those grill lines.

Sweet And Tangy Grilled Chicken Tenders
1. Cut 1 lb of boneless skinless chicken breast into tenders, if you cant find chicken labeled as tenders in the market. Butterfly the breast and then slice into tenders that are approximately 1? wide and 3 to 4? long. Place the tenders in a glass baking or storage dish with a lid. Alternatively, you can place them in a sealable plastic bag.
2. In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, vinegar, honey, mustard, lemon juice, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Pour the marinade over the chicken, being sure to coat all the pieces. Cover the dish or seal the bag and place it in the refrigerator for 1 to 4 hours.
3. Take the marinated chicken out of the refrigerator 30 minutes prior to grilling so that it can come to room temperature.

Just 7 simple ingredients is all you need to make these tasty Quick Grilled Lemon Chicken Tenders. Eat them plain or pair them with a salad or pasta. So simple!
This is a recipe Ive used for over 10 years now. Chicken tenders are awesome because they cook so quickly, especially on a grill. Its one of the easiest dinners I have up my sleeve. Technically you dont even have to marinate the chicken if you are in a rush. Its pretty darn tasty if you end up tossing it on the grill immediately too. If you dont have an outdoor grill, no worries on that either! Just use an indoor grill pan. You can buy the grill pan I use HERE. It comes in so handy and I use it a lot.
Serve it up with some sort of veggies and call it good. Throw it in a pita with some sliced tomatoes and cucumbers and a little dressing and youve got yourself a sandwich. Toss it on some lettuce and you have a salad. Versatile and easy. You can even toss it in pasta. This recipe is pretty much the reason I keep lemon pepper in my spice rack. About as easy as it gets!
What Are Chicken Tenders
Chicken tenders are found just underneath of the breast meat of the chicken, they are very similar in taste to breast meat, but they are smaller and more tender, since this muscle isnt used as much. You will often find recipes for fried chicken tenders, but grilling them is so easy and a healthier way of preparing this cut of meat.

How To Cook Chicken Tenderloins In A Pan
Now that Ive confessed my love for tenderloins, lets talk about how to cook perfect chicken in a pan. This method will give you a charred, slightly crispy exterior with a juicy center. Its really similar to perfectly grilled chicken.
The secret is adding the chicken to a hot pan over medium-high heat and leaving it untouched for a few minutes. Time will vary based on the size of the chicken, but Ill talk more on that below. For these naked chicken tenders, go with four minutes.
After the first side has cooked, simply flip the chicken and leave it alone for about half the time the first side cooked. In this case, two minutes.
The next step is the easiest. Simply turn off the heat, cover the chicken tenders, and let them sit for 6 minutes. If you have the time, let them rest another 5 minutes to let the flavors fully develop.
Its important to mention size differences here. If youre using large chicken tenderloins or chicken breasts you cut into strips, cook times may vary. Also, the recipe calls for medium-high heat which could be different from stove to stove. A meat thermometer is a great investment to ensure your meats are always cooked to safe internal temperatures.
Side note: If youre not a fan of chicken tenderloins but didnt want to go to the trouble of cutting chicken breast into strips, you could use a pre-cut option like I used for my garlic parmesan chicken tenders.
What Kind Of Seasoned Salt To Use
We’ve tried many commercially prepared seasoned salts over the years, you could use whichever brand you happen to have on hand and this recipe will work just fine.
That said, I recently made my own seasoned salt recipe and keep it on hand for this chicken or sprinkling over roasted potatoes. It has a little less salt in the mix and more of the other seasonings, so I feel a lot better about serving it to my family. You can find our favorite seasoned salt recipe here.
