    Put chicken tenders into a lidded container and pour marinade over top of chicken.

    Snap the the lid on. And pop it into the fridge for at least 4 hours or overnight.

    When chicken is ready, soak your wooden skewers in water for at least a half an hour . Obviously you can skip this step if using metal skewers.

    Cook for about 5-6 minutes per side . It’s really important that you flip the chicken using tongs and you handle it by the meat portion of the skewer. Don’t try flipping using the skewer itself. Metal ones will be too hot to handle at this point and the wooden ones might break.     1. Cut 1 lb of boneless skinless chicken breast into tenders, if you cant find chicken labeled as tenders in the market. Butterfly the breast and then slice into tenders that are approximately 1? wide and 3 to 4? long. Place the tenders in a glass baking or storage dish with a lid. Alternatively, you can place them in a sealable plastic bag.

    2. In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, vinegar, honey, mustard, lemon juice, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Pour the marinade over the chicken, being sure to coat all the pieces. Cover the dish or seal the bag and place it in the refrigerator for 1 to 4 hours.

    3. Take the marinated chicken out of the refrigerator 30 minutes prior to grilling so that it can come to room temperature.

    4. Preheat your George Foreman Grill to high for 5 minutes with the top closed. Place the chicken tenders in a single layer on the hot grill and close the top. Discard the extra marinade. Grill the chicken for approximately 5 minutes until the internal temperature of the meat reaches 165°F. Depending on the size of your contact grill, you might have to do this in two batches.     This is a recipe Ive used for over 10 years now. Chicken tenders are awesome because they cook so quickly, especially on a grill. Its one of the easiest dinners I have up my sleeve. Technically you dont even have to marinate the chicken if you are in a rush. Its pretty darn tasty if you end up tossing it on the grill immediately too. If you dont have an outdoor grill, no worries on that either! Just use an indoor grill pan. You can buy the grill pan I use HERE. It comes in so handy and I use it a lot.

    Serve it up with some sort of veggies and call it good. Throw it in a pita with some sliced tomatoes and cucumbers and a little dressing and youve got yourself a sandwich. Toss it on some lettuce and you have a salad. Versatile and easy. You can even toss it in pasta. This recipe is pretty much the reason I keep lemon pepper in my spice rack. About as easy as it gets!

    How To Cook Chicken Tenderloins In A Pan

    Now that Ive confessed my love for tenderloins, lets talk about how to cook perfect chicken in a pan. This method will give you a charred, slightly crispy exterior with a juicy center. Its really similar to perfectly grilled chicken.

    The secret is adding the chicken to a hot pan over medium-high heat and leaving it untouched for a few minutes. Time will vary based on the size of the chicken, but Ill talk more on that below. For these naked chicken tenders, go with four minutes.

    After the first side has cooked, simply flip the chicken and leave it alone for about half the time the first side cooked. In this case, two minutes.

    The next step is the easiest. Simply turn off the heat, cover the chicken tenders, and let them sit for 6 minutes. If you have the time, let them rest another 5 minutes to let the flavors fully develop.

    Its important to mention size differences here. If youre using large chicken tenderloins or chicken breasts you cut into strips, cook times may vary. Also, the recipe calls for medium-high heat which could be different from stove to stove. A meat thermometer is a great investment to ensure your meats are always cooked to safe internal temperatures.

    Side note: If youre not a fan of chicken tenderloins but didnt want to go to the trouble of cutting chicken breast into strips, you could use a pre-cut option like I used for my garlic parmesan chicken tenders.

    What Kind Of Seasoned Salt To Use

    We’ve tried many commercially prepared seasoned salts over the years, you could use whichever brand you happen to have on hand and this recipe will work just fine.

    That said, I recently made my own seasoned salt recipe and keep it on hand for this chicken or sprinkling over roasted potatoes.     For your easiness, here are the average times for grilling different size pieces of chicken:

    • Chicken Breast : 6 to 8 ounces of breast piece may take you about 8 to 12 minutes on a direct medium flame that is 350 degrees F.
    • Chicken Breast : 10 to 12 ounces of bone-in breast piece will take around 30 to 40 minutes over indirect medium heat that is 350 degrees F.
    • Thigh or Leg : it may take 30 to 40 minutes on indirect medium heat at the internal temperature of 350 degrees F.
    • Thigh : 4 ounces of this piece will take about 8 to 20 minutes on direct high heat at the temperature of 450 to 650 degrees F.
    • Chicken Wings: 2 to 3 ounces of wings may take 18 to 20 minutes to grill over direct medium heat at the internal temperature of 350 degrees F.
    • Whole Chicken: 3 and a half or 4 and a half lbs of whole chicken may take 1 and a half to 2 hours on the indirect medium flame at an internal temperature of 350 degrees F.

    Remember that all these times may vary when you marinate the chicken or put some sauce, or change the piece in any way.
