Every Weber grill is designed with quality and great performance in mind, but things can happen, which is why each grill comes with an extensive warranty, backed with our legendary customer service.

Many parts, such as control knobs, burner tubes and tables can be easily replaced, but we understand that everyones skill level is a little different. Some of us are totally at ease completely disassembling a grill to replace just about any part, while others are not quite as comfortable replacing certain parts, especially if its something involved with the gas train assembly.

While labor isnt included as a part of the warranty on our grills we do partner up with 3rd party contractors, which we call service agents, in certain situations. Determine Correct Bbq Grill Model Number

Verify you have the correct model number for your Weber grill by finding the CSA appliance tag on the grill. This tag, or label, will have the correct and complete model number. Do not rely solely on your owners manual as these are frequently mixed up at retail outlets. The Weber CSA tag, or plate, is freguently located on the inside of the cart doors but may be on the back of the grill or under the front control panel.

Important: Please include a photo of your grill’s CSA certification tag, which is located somewhere on the grill. This tag shows the manufacturer name, model number, and serial number. If you have a smart phone, simply take a photo of the complete CSA tag and text it to [email protected] or attach it to the email. Extra pics of the grill and/or parts in question are very helpful.

Any additional information about your grill you can provide, such as about how old it is, where you bought it, number and dimensions of cooking grids, burners and heat plates, will aid greatly in finding the correct parts for your grill. Is It Worth Buying Replacement Parts Or Should You Get A New Grill

While some problem items like rusted grates and burner tubes with uneven flames are easy to spot, other grill issues often escape notice unless you are looking for them. Before you make a major investment in replacement parts make sure you examine the frame of the grill. If the metal tubes that hold the grill onto the cart frame are about to rust through then start thinking about getting a new grill. Replacement cart assemblies are extremely hard to find and will easily cost you a few hundred bucks if you do manage to track one down.

You will also want to take a look at the slider rails that hold the grease box onto the grill. The screws that hold the slider rails onto the grill are notorious for rusting out and letting the grease box become detached.

In many cases the screws will completely corrode into the cast iron base of the grill and will have to be drilled out. If you are not up to this task then it is better to find out now than after you have bought parts.

How To Get Parts For Your Grill

Weve seen the scenario play out too many times to count: you buy a grill from your local hardware store. It works great for a year then the problems start. Eventually, you discover you need a replacement part. No problem the grill has a warranty. You go online to search for the grill company, only to find out the grill has been discontinued. Or worse, the company no longer exists.

Or perhaps youve had the same grill for several years. Even a well-made grill needs regular maintenance and requires replacement parts. Fixing your grill yourself might be the most budget-friendly option, and we understand that. But if its been a long time, the grill you bought might not be in production anymore.

Now youre asking yourself, how do I find replacement parts for my grill?

Understand The Quality Differences In The Parts

In general you will have three choices for replacement Flavorizer bars. Weber offers these bars in porcelain enameled steel or stainless steel. The ones made of porcelain enameled steel are cheaper, will easily last you three years and work just as well as ones made from stainless steel. If you do want longer lasting ones then go with the heavy duty option made by third party sellers. These are typically made of 18 gauge stainless steel and usually cost much less than the ones offered by Weber.

In general you will also have three choices for replacement grill grates. The grates made from porcelain steel are the cheapest and work okay. Your other two choices are grates made from stainless steel or cast iron. I love the thought, look and feel of cast iron but when it comes to grilling I really have to recommend the stainless steel. Stainless steel grates will give you better grill marks than cast iron grates any day of the week. In addition, stainless steel is easier to clean and will last longer than cast iron.

Are Your Parts Under Warranty

One last thing I recommend you do before buying parts is to READ your warranty. These grills come from Weber built to last and backed by a serious warranty that they fully support. The burner tubes carry a ten year warranty while other parts have coverage that varies between three to five years.

If you cant find the warranty for your gas grill then get in touch with Weber directly and they can help you determine what parts of your grill are still covered. Weber has great support and shipping costs are usually free for parts under warranty.

This site does NOT have any information on converting your grill from Liquid Propane to Natural Gas. I see this question on the barbecue forums on a regular basis. Converting your grill from one fuel source to another is a practice that Weber advises against and I will follow their lead on this one.

Another place where I am not very helpful is with the side tables. I simply dont have a reliable source for the different thermoset and stainless side tables that came with the different grills. Sorry about that.

How Do I Find Replacement Parts For My Grill

Many of our longtime Weber fans have grills that are 15, 20 even 30 years old and they are still going strong. Over the years various parts on these grills might need to be replaced and we are often asked if there are still replacement parts available. As a general rule, we do our best to keep replacement parts in stock up to 10 years after a grill has been discontinued but often times we carry parts for even longer than that. For example we still carry grates and Flavorizer bars for some of the original 1985 Genesis grills.

Most of the replacement parts on our website are for wear and tear or more commonly replaced items such as grates, Flavorizer bars or igniter kits.
