Weber 7270001 Summit S
- Have a top two or up together with the Weber Summit S-470 Stainless-Steel Gas Grill. This baby is going to do just about anything except mow the yard. Contains a rotisserie, side burner, sear channel, smoking box, and naturally includes 4 burners that mild separately for ideal temperature control.
- One neat is that the Grill Out detector light thats activated after the hood is raised. So no longer grilling in the dark. The rotisserie holds two big chickens and in the back of the lid, so theres an infrared burner that may be used to creep up the heat early on for this magnificent crispy skin.
- The Summit S-470 Stainless-Steel Gas Grill is amazing and has so much to offer you wont need to dirty your kitchen utensils again. With over 580 sq inches of cooking grills and warming rack, a side burner for sauces, or employing the wok, youve got loads of space to cook a massive feast.
Weber 62006001 Genesis Ii S
Why youll love it:
The genesis II S-435 has four burners and it heats up fast and easily. But then gas grills always do.
What they dont do, however, is sync your grill with your phone, so you can keep tabs on the grilling and cooking from anywhere in the house . The Genesis II E-335 above does though.
What we didnt like
- No grill light included in this model
- Grill cover not included with this Genesis model
This is the biggest incentive for me to get this grill. It is perfect for a multi-tasker like me, and its all courtesy of iGrill 3.
I can grill several meats, sauté veggies on one burner and simmer some sauce in the side burner AND still have room left for more cooking.
I know. Sounds like I am a crazy scientist on the grill, but the Genesis II S-435 is highly efficient, so you can get it going on different fronts simultaneously. Read on for the pros and cons to learn what makes this grill infamous.

Upgrade Grill Pick: Weber Genesis Ii E
*At the time of publishing, the price was $780.
The Weber Genesis II E-310 gas grill is also an exceptional performer, and it offers several clever, life-improving design elements that we love. The grates are about 20 percent bigger, too, but overall the Genesis II takes up barely more area than the Spirit II, so theres no appreciable trade-off between the two if your patio space is tight. Essentially, the decision comes down to how youll use your grill: If you often cook for crowds, the Genesis II is worth the extra couple hundred dollars.
Performance-wise, we found the two Weber models nearly identical, with the Spirit just slightly edging the Genesis II on burger-searing performance. And that gap would probably close with a bit more time to learn the Genesis IIs finer points. In terms of materials, the two are almost twins, offering heavy cast-aluminum fireboxes and porcelain-coated cast-iron grates. The Genesis II, however, features a frame made of welded rails, while the Spirit II is made of folded metal . Theyre both sturdy enough, but the Genesis II is appreciably stiffer and more solid-feeling. And we like that it has casters: Its easier to swivel into a corner for storage than the casterless Spirit.
Moving the tank to the outside also frees up space below the grill, which Weber fills with a generous and sturdy storage shelf. Thats a nice feature you can keep trays, grill tools, or even a small cooler there.

How Do You Convert A Propane Grill To Natural Gas
Not all propane grills can be converted to natural gas. Always consult your owner’s manual to see if your grill can safely be converted to natural gas, and if it can, it’s important to purchase a conversion kit directly from the manufacturer. There are sometimes third-party conversion kits sold online, but keep in mind they are not always safe and will likely void your grill’s warranty.
Weber 51010001 Q1200 Liquid Propane Grill
Why youll love this:
I am sure I mentioned somewhere in here that I love portable grills. And the Q1200 is one of my favorites.
I also think by now it is clear I am sucker for color on my grills, and this model comes in an array of fantastic colors: red, green, fuschia, black, blue, orange and titanium.
Dont ask!
Okay, yes. My favorite color is still red but that is not the reason I consider this the best portable grill.
What We Didnt Like
- Cooking timer can only go up to 99 minutes
The cooking surface area on the Performer Deluxe grill is 363 square inches, meaning it is not tiny, but it is not too bulky either. It is just enough to hold food for a small party.
I am also impressed by the ignition mechanism which is just a button. If you know how messy lighting charcoal can get, then you understand my enthusiasm over a button.
The grill offers users prep room, so that you can do all your food preparation in one place.
But my favorite aspect of this grill is the cart bottom that Weber used instead of the traditional three legs. It looks like a gas grill with a charcoal grill top. However if you want to achieve the smoker wood fire taste then you might want to check the Weber SmokeFire Pellet Grill.
But here is the best part:
This model has an aluminized steel one-touch cleaning system. Combine that with the porcelain enameled grate and this is a very easy grill to clean after use.

Weber 44010001 Spirit Ii E
Why youll love it:
I havent come across a neater Weber gas grill than the Spirit II E-210. It is more compact than the Spirit II E-310, and has fewer knobs, giving it a very clean interface.
In keeping with the spirit of the Spirit II series this model also comes in fun colors, red being my favorite. You can also get it in sapphire, black and stainless steel.
- Its compact design allows it to fit in small spaces
- Easy to clean construction materials
What we didnt like
- Has only two burners
- Tricky to assemble
The Weber Spirit II range is an entry level series developed to cater to someone learning to grill. It is also ideal for a small family. The overall construction is sturdy and although it lacks the features that most seasoned grillers are accustomed to, it does a good job of searing and evenly grilling the meat.
Even a seasoned grilling enthusiast like me cant fault its performance.
I believe it was a great idea to have the porcelain enameled cast iron grates on this particular model, because it makes it easier for a beginner to achieve an even grill. Plus, we dont want to scare beginners away from grilling by giving them the hardest grill to clean. This model is easy to clean and maintain.
Grill Grates Lids And Other Materials
The two most common materials used for grates are stainless steel and cast iron. Although stainless steel is rust-resistant , they dont conduct heat as well as cast iron. You can sear steak better on a cast iron grate, but one caveat is that you have to spend more time caring for it or else it will rust, Phan said. If you cook a lot of steaks, go with cast iron, but if you cook a lot of burgers, brats and seafood, stainless steel is a better choice.
High-quality gas grills are made from durable stainless steel but not all stainless steel is created equal. Stainless steel is an alloy that comes in different numerical grades, depending on its composition, which impacts its overall strength, heat durability and rust resistance. Among the different grades, Phan said 304 and 430 stainless steel are most common. Grade 304 is much better than 430 and that comes with a higher price tag, he explained. That said, if you take care of your 430 grill, it will probably last a bit longer.
Not all gas grill models come with a lid. Phan emphasized its importance for backyard cooks, though. With a lid, you can turn your grill into an oven, meaning that you can cook food with convection heat, he says. It will cook your food more evenly than conduction and radiant heat.
