Is Summit House From Bar Rescue Still Open
Summit House closed in July 2018, which was around two years after Jon Taffer originally visited the bar.
The bar was originally listed as closed for renovations, but it never reopened and remains permanently closed.
Im not sure why it was never able to reopen, but Im guessing the debt played a pretty big role.
For a time, the old Summit House Lakewood, CO location was occupied by a new bar called Hops Restaurant Bar and Brewery.
However, that bar seems to also be closed for now. Im not sure what will replace it but Ill edit our Summit House Bar Rescue update once I know.

At the time that Summit House closed, its reviews werent that great as it had just a 3 star rating on Yelp and a 3.6 star rating on Google Reviews.

Saw the show on bar rescue and decided to check it out.
The nachos were awesome and so were the jalapeño poppers .

Beachs Iconic Summer House Sold To Nalus Owner
Summer House has been sold to Regan Derrickson, a former doorman and the owner of Nalu Surf Bar & Grill.
When Regan Derrickson was 21, he left work at the SandCastle Motel and crossed Rehoboth Avenue for his doorman shift at the Summer House, where he checked patrons identification.
It was a fast-paced job.
The restaurant, which had opened in 1977, was a happening nightspot after 9 p.m.
The establishment personified the beach vibe, and it was the inspiration behind Nalu Surf Bar & Grill, the fun tropical-themed eatery that Derrickson and wife Kim own in Dewey Beach and Rehoboth.
Now things have come full circle for Derrickson. This month, he purchased the iconic Summer House.
It means so much to me and so many people, he says. Its surreal.

With all the work that went into choosing such a great name, we knew we had to develop a logo and other brand elements that captured the essence of their menu and their ambiance. Working side-by-side with our client, we sifted through dozens of images, materials, colors, and themes that inspired the process.
We then crafted dozens of logo designs, some good, and admittedly, some not so good. But thats how the process works. Through iterative refinement, we ultimately came up with a handful of our collective favorites and then settled on a fresh summer-like logo that became the cornerstone of the remaining brand elements like colors, fonts, imagery, and tone and manner.

What Happened To Josh And Alexia Lubliner
As of 2022, Josh and Alexia Lubliner seem to have left Lakewood, CO and moved to Reno, NV.
Alexia seems to be working as a Technical Support Specialist again .
Im not sure about Josh.
The couple are still married as far as I can tell, but I dont like digging into peoples personal lives.

Still Summer House But Better
When longtime customers heard about the sale, many had one concern: Would Derrickson do away with the popular half-price burger night on Mondays?
Not to worry.
Were keeping everything that you love, Derrickson vowed. That includes the return of the iced teas on Tuesdays.
But that doesnt mean Derrickson is sticking with the status quo.
Were taking a more upscale approach, says the new owner, who pictures steaks and martinis. He is turning the back bar into a business within a business called The Libation Room, which will feature cocktails and small plates.
As for the rest of the space, Derrickson said workers are shining it up like a new penny.
That means a new façade, oak bar, fresh paint and new wiring and AV equipment.
A DJ will spin tunes that appeal to people in their 40s and up, and the hours will be 11:30 a.m. to 1 a.m.
In Rehoboth, everything old can be new again.
That will make hundreds of fans very happy.
The restaurant should reopen late this year.
