Conveniently Fits Into Most Diets
I have had to restrict my diet recently for health reasons and was worried that I would have to freeze a lot of my cooking in order to have meals ready to eat at a moments notice. I am so glad I found the Tyson Grilled and Ready chicken breasts. Just 20 minutes in the oven or a short trip in the microwave and they are just as described: ready to eat with grill marks and a smoky flavor. They are very juicy and a really convenient way to add the recommended amount of protein to a simple meal. The sodium per serving is not too outrageous with these compared to most frozen entrees and the fat is right in line with what Im supposed to be eating. They can be very easily worked into a diet plan and they also make a quick and tasty central ingredient for a grilled chicken sandwich. What a great find! I highly recommend these.

Whichever you use, it is essential that the grill is heated and the temperature stable before you put the meat to roast. It is easier to control the temperature with gas grills, but if you use charcoal, wait for the flame to go out and the grill to glow nicely, which will take 30-45 minutes.
The key is in moderate temperature, and you can achieve this in several ways. For example, if you notice that the fire is too intense, feel free to remove the charcoal a little to the side or along the edges to create a space where the charcoal is not directly under the chicken. If it is an electric or gas grill, reduce the intensity of the fire or electricity. Slow barbecuing over moderate heat will give the best results.
Before grilling:
To check if the meat is cooked, cut along the bone, and check what juices are flowing if you see blood, you need to bake more, but the chicken is done if they are just clear juices. You can also use a meat thermometer. A quick check in the center of the meat temperature should be at least 70 degrees Celsius.

Because pellet smokers can be easily set to low temperatures, you might think its a good idea to slow-cook the frozen chicken in this fashion. Our advice, however, is to avoid this temptation.
Why? Because the colder parts of the chicken might spend too long in the danger zonethat is, in the range of 40 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit. These are the temperatures at which bacteria are most likely to grow. Thats why you should never cook frozen chicken in a slow cookerthe same risks apply. Can You Grill Frozen Chicken Breast
Yes, but its really not recommended. This is because the outside of your food cooks faster than the inside. Especially if you are cooking something like a steak or piece of boneless chicken you dont want to cook it on the barbecue so fast that the middle isnt even hot enough to kill bacteria it needs to be at least 160 degrees F to be safe! So if you put defrosted meat directly onto the grill, then there is a good chance that some of it may still remain uncooked in the center and unsafe to eat.
There are better ways to thaw your meat. If your recipe calls for you to marinate your chicken before grilling, there is no reason you cant thaw your meat first. If you pull your chicken out of the freezer in the morning and want to put it on the grill at night then just transfer it into a bowl or zip top bag with water and let it sit in the refrigerator until evening. Once you do this, be very careful not to re-freeze your meat.
Another way to easily thaw your frozen chicken is by using a sous vide method. To speed up the process even more what you can do is put ice around the bag while keeping the water as close to 32 degrees Fahrenheit as possible ice will help bring down that temperature quickly. You should also cook for slightly less time than usual since your food is partially frozen.
Please be sure to thoroughly wash your thawed meat after grilling just as you would if it were fresh. Also, drink plenty of water!

Best Methods To Thaw Chicken
The United States Department of Agriculture recommends thawing chicken using one of the following methods: in the refrigerator, in cold water, or in the microwave.
I normally don’t plan far enough in advance to use the refrigeration method to thaw chicken. Therefore I like to use the water method because I find it to thaw chicken in the microwave without parts of it cooking.
Usually, it takes about 1-2 days to thaw boneless and bone-in chicken in the refrigerator. Whole chickens take about 3-4 days.
To thaw chicken pieces in cold water, submerge the chicken in leakproof packaging and submerge it under cold water. Change the water every 30 minutes. One pound of chicken will thaw in less than 1 hour. A whole chicken pounds will thaw in 2-3 hours.
The third method to thaw chicken is in the microwave. However, this is difficult because the chicken does not thaw evenly. If you choose this method, thaw in for 5 minutes. If the chicken is still frozen thaw in 30-second increments until it is thawed. Grill the chicken immediatley.
