Are Napoleon Grills Better Than Weber
They both come with their own sets of pros and cons, so its hard to say that one is better than the other. Napoleon is a newer entrant to the market in comparison to Weber, but both offer grills that are made of high-quality materials with excellent performance and features. In comparison to Weber grills, however, Napoleon grills are less pricey making the brand more suited to budget shoppers.
When it comes to what theyre known for, with Weber youve got the brand recognition, and theyre also some of the sturdiest grills that youve got in the market. With Napoleon grills, theyve got innovative grills with easy to open and close lids, foldable shelves, and a signature wave design thatll help distribute heat evenly.

Starting A Gas Grill If It Troubleshoots
What if your gas grill doesnt start by following predefined two methods? It can be a troubleshoot.
The hardest part of your first experience with any product can be when your new gear seems not to work. You scratch your head, call customer support or the seller. Yet, failing to get work done can result from some minor reason.
Before ringing an expert for help, you can check out this section from our guide and fix the problem in no time. Here is what to do.
1. Check the Gas Sources and Connectors
The time is not to find fault with the product. Perhaps you have made the happiest purchase the future will let you know.
- First, check the gas supply lines and propane tank. No spark will help light the grill if the gas is not enough in the tank or the gas supply line is not ON. So, check the gas filling and make sure that the supply valves are open.
- Second, ensure that the supply lines are in good condition with no breakage, etc. If you see any cracking or thinning or the supply line, replacing it for any leakage can be more dangerous you never want to be among those 10,600 houses that catch fire annually because of grills.
What can be the sign? The hissing sound. When your grill doesnt light, well recommend you try to listen to the sound from the valve or supply lines to determine the leakage.
When you spot any leakage, get the replacement for the parts as soon as possible. But, during the course, keep the gas tank closed and keep any type of flame away from your gears.

Napoleon Rogue Grill Review
The Napoleon Rogue 425 SIB is a four burner, mid-to-small size gas grill manufactured in Canada. This grill sports three 12,000 BTU burners in the main cooking chamber and a 9,000 BTU SIZZLE ZONETM high heat side infrared burner.
The three main burners run from the front to rear of the cooking chamber and use a JETFIRETM ignition system. This system operates by pushing the temperature control valve for that burner in as you turn it on. These main burners are also equipped with a Cross Light bracket to ensure that in the event of a failure in one of the JETFIRETM igniters you will still be able to light the burner.
The infrared side burner is lit with a battery operated push button igniter on the main control panel. Both the side table and the SIZZLE ZONETM side burner are equipped with integrated tool hooks and are built to fold down to create a smaller footprint for storage.
Napoleon grills are known for their quality construction. The Rogue 425 SIB is no exception, equipped with a high quality stainless steel burner, sear plates and a 9mm cooking grate. The SIZZLE ZONETM side burner uses a cast iron cooking grate. This infrared side burner is not only used for searing, but it can also be used as you would a regular side burner.

Napoleon Rogue : What Could Be Improved
The SIZZLE ZONETM side burner: The SIZZLE ZONETM uses a cast iron cooking grate which does do a fantastic job retaining heat from the infrared burner. So much so that it actually may hold a bit too much heat, causing the food that is in contact with the grate to burn. Its manageable with a bit of practice, but a novice may struggle. A thinner stainless steel grate would be a better match up for the SIZZLE ZONETM and allow the infrared burner to perform its heat output function in a more constant manner.
In addition to the grate, the SIZZLE ZONETM is prone to flare ups with meats that have a higher fat content.
The side shelf and SIZZLE ZONETM side burner of the grill are made to fold down. This gives the unit a smaller footprint when not in use, but when folding down the side burner there is a lot of pressure applied to the gas feed line. So much in fact, that the grommet protecting the gas line where it passes thru the grill cabinet starts to displace.
Note: For safetys sake, we strongly suggest that if you will be folding the side burner down on a regular basis you inspect the gas feed line to the side burner before each use.
The propane tank stability ring which slips over the top of the propane cylinder collar to keep the cylinder in place as the grill is moved about your patio works, but in all honesty it is a bit flimsy. An additional improvement in this area would be some type of fuel level indicator like those found in similarly priced gas grills.
How Can You Start A Gas Grill Manually
Starting the gas grill manually isnt entirely different from the previously defined process. You can do it by following these simple steps.
1. Open the Gas Grill Lid
The foremost step to start your gas grill is always opening the grill lid to allow the build-up gas to go away. So, keep the top opened for 15 minutes, and keep the gas valve closed.
2. Connect the Gas Source
Now you have to connect your natural or propane gas supply to the gas grill. If you have jumped to read this section, skipping the last part, you can consult that section to see how you can attach a gas line to different gas grills from other brands. Or you can search for it online.
3. Ignite the Gas
Here is the tricky part of our process of starting gas grills. Youve to lit your grill now.
- For this purpose, first, turn on the gas. Then, lit the match stick and bring it closer to the igniting hole by the side of your gas grill. It will light the burner that you had turned on.
- Once the burner has turned on, you can turn on other burners. Yet, itll not require lighting the match. The flame from the first burner will work.

How To Make Repairs And Light A Napoleon Grill
A. Fixing Burners, electrodes, wires, and batteries
If you dont clean your grill burners often, youre going to have to deal with clogs and perhaps damage over the long term.
Over time, dirt, debris, and even insects and pests can clog the tubes of the burners, which you can clean by first disconnecting the grill from its fuel source.
Next, open the grill to air it out, remove the burners, inspect the ports, and clean any dirt and debris.
Similarly, check the igniter electrodes to see if theyre affected by dirt or rust. You can use a toothpick along with a bleach-free cleaner to remove the dirt and rust, after which dry the electrodes with a paper towel.
B. Connecting the propane tank properly to the grill
Connecting the propane tank to your Napoleon grill is fairly simple, and you can do it with just your bare handsno tools required. After youve made the adjustments, light up the grill to see if its working.
C. Grilling in bad weather
Lets be realistic, the weather isnt always going to be sunny with no chance of rain. Both moisture and freezing temperatures can prevent your grill from lighting, but that shouldnt stop you from grilling!
If your gas lines are frozen, bring the propane tank inside and let it sit until it warms up to room temperature.
D. Fixing Napoleon grill igniter battery
Most Napoleon grills operate with the help of an ignition battery, and just like your TV remote, if the battery is dead, the grill wont light up.

The Meat On The Spit Goes Round & round
8. Have a screwdriver or butter knife to tighten the stop bushing in the right place when you place the spit onto the grill. Your grill is hot and it can be a challenge to do with heat resistant gloves, and definitely is not recommended to do barehanded.
9. You can use the rear burner and rotisserie in a similar fashion as your oven to cook meals. Either start things up high, around 425°F for a 15-minute sear, then turn the burner to medium-low, around 275°F to 325°F, for the remainder of the cook. Conversely, you could just start at 275°F and if necessary sear the meat using high heat when its nearly cooked around 10°F from finished temperature. The second method is very similar to the reverse sear method of barbecue cooking.
10. Unless otherwise instructed in your recipe, keep the lid on your grill closed as much as possible throughout the cook. This will keep the temperature inside your grill even.
11. In this case, instead of using a wireless thermometer, it is recommended to use an instant-read digital probe thermometer or a pocket thermometer to read the temperature of your meal. Remember to turn off the rotisserie motor before checking the temperature and be careful not to touch the spit rod inside the meat.
12. If youre saucing your meal, apply the sauce in the last 20 to 30 minutes to avoid burning any of the sugars in the sauce. Caramelization is delicious, but burnt sugar is not.
