In Milan in via della Spiga, the new bar and restaurant signed by Ralph Lauren combines the charm of the Milan secret gardens with the glam of traditional American haute cuisine, pairing the designer’s favorite dishes with exclusive wines and cocktails.

Fourth after Chicago, Paris and NY, in 2021 Ralph Laurens culinary American dream finally arrived in Milan, on the ground floor of a five-floor building all dedicated to the brand and its lines Polo Ralph Lauren, Purple Label, Collection and Double RL.

The Bar at Ralph Lauren merges with the concept of the new Milanese flagship, recalling the sophisticated and timeless style of the designer who is inspired by the noble English countryside of the early 1900s and its rituals, such as the game of polo, and, bringing it to aesthetic perfection, to the world of American cottages, the Ivy League and the Wild Wild West.

Gathering around the table evokes so many memories for me, mostly of time spent with the people I love. I wanted Ralphs to be a place where people could come together in that spirit.

As soon as you enter The Bar at Ralph Lauren, you are greeted by the very elegant staff of the restaurant who welcome you in the wonderful early twentieth-century polos club-style bar that opens onto a pergola courtyard with wicker chairs and many cushions in refined country-chic fabrics.

The Ralph Lauren Bar & Grill in Chicago is one of my favorite places to go for dinner. This restaurant is located in the Gold Coast neighborhood, its right on the corner of Michigan avenue and Chicago avenue. It is the perfect spot for lunch or dinner. A reservation wont hurt to ensure you snag a great table later in the evening.

The RL patio is the place to be in the summer. With the fresh Chicago air and a lovely view of the famous Chicago Water Tower building, theres no better spot in the city for dinner. Not to mention your are right next to one of the most historic landmarks in all of Chicago. The original Chicago Water Tower Building stands proudly in Jane Byrne Park right across the street from RL.

Diving into the menu, you cant go wrong with any of the appetizers. I will recommend the crab cake as an appetizer, it falls apart like butter in your mouth. The salads change seasonally but, I swear that I have never had a better caesar salad in my life. The watermelon gazpacho is also a delight.

The number one reason I dine at RL is for the filet mingon. The fillet mignon is absolutely amazing and it comes À la carte. You can order a plethora of side dishes. The mashed potatoes are my personal favorite. I recommend ordering your filet medium or medium rare. The béarnaise sauce and garlic butter shallot sauce are absolutely phenomenal to pair with the filet mignon. Your mouth will thank you later.

The Polo Bar Is Becoming A Hot Spot For Media Elites

The Polo Bars town-and-country-style dining room, where patrons can nosh on a $70 Dover sole, has been a hot spot for big names, including President Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton, since it opened in 2015. The restaurants power crowd was relieved in 2017 when Ralph Lauren said it would keep the eatery open despite the closure of the Fifth Avenue store.

The shift will put the Polo Bar in Apiciis already elite portfolio, which includes several luxe restaurants and hotels such as The James in SoHo and the private dining room at the 432 Park Ave. skyscraper. The Greenwich Village-based company also provided underwriting for the catering and operations at the 42nd Street and Wall Street Cipriani restaurants, according to its website.

A Cipriani spokeswoman, however, said that Apicii never had any affiliation with Cipriani Group, and that the latter solely owns and manages its properties.

Ralph Lauren still has a strong and longstanding relationship with Gibsons, which has managed its Chicago restaurant for two decades, the Lauren spokeswoman said.

Ralph Laurens swanky celebrity haunt, Polo Bar, is changing its restaurant operator for the first time since it opened, The Post has learned.

The Fifth Avenue restaurant and bar, known for celebrity clients like Jennifer Lopez, Alex Rodriguez and Meghan Markle, has tapped hospitality management firm Apicii to replace Chicago-based Gibsons Restaurant Group, the fashion firm told The Post.

The restaurants 156 employees are expected to be retained by Apicii, the company said in explaining a New York state Department of Labor WARN notice for Polo Bar staffers filed last week. Thats good news for diners, who have grown loyal to the Polo Bars seasoned waiters and maitre ds.

A Ralph Lauren official who asked not to be identified stressed that the change will not alter the customer experience.

Ralph Lauren did not explain why it was changing operators except to note that Apicii is based in the Big Apple. Apicii did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

The current operator, Gibsons, will continue to look after Ralph Laurens Windy City eatery after the transition takes effect in February, officials from both companies said.

Gibsons Restaurant Group have supported select administrative and operational aspects of RL Chicago and The Polo Bar, a Ralph Lauren spokeswoman said in a statement. For the The Polo Bar these functions will transition to a local New York-based provider in February.
