Recent data pulled from has revealed some interesting points about the grills segment at Lowes. Last year, the segment sold over $820 million, as compared to $570 million in 2019, which is an approximate growth of over 41%. This is among the highest percentage increases across all home improvement categories at major retailers. Oddly enough, the sales did not come from the usual suspects. Don’t shop for a charcoal or gas grill from March through June. Yes, that’s when you want to buy one to enjoy all summer long. So does everybody else, and stores know it. It’s a matter of supply and demand. Demand is high in spring and early summer, when you are eager to grill some hot dogs, burgers, steaks, and kebabs.
That said, you will probably find the best selection during spring and early summer. If you want to comparison shop for different brands and models, this is a good time to do it. You will need to exercise some self-control, taking notes rather than whipping out your credit card.

For Facebook users, I have one more great tip. You can find the best prices on grills, both gas grills and charcoal grills, on various marketplaces. My wife always does this, and she always ends up finding some amazing deals.

Like most things you buy for your yard, fall is the best time to get a great deal on a grill thanks to the end-of-season sales that follow Labor Day. This is definitely not the only good time, though. We see deals starting as early as Presidents’ Day as retailers get rid of last year’s models and run promos on some of the newer releases. Plus, Memorial Day and the Fourth of July are big holidays for shopping grills as well.
When Is The Best Time To Buy A Charcoal Grill
We tend to list fewer charcoal grill deals, but definitely still see them. Be sure to keep an eye out in May and July if you’re shopping for a charcoal grill. Last May, for instance, five of the 27 grill deals we listed were charcoal models. In July, we listed 22 total grill deals, but five of those were charcoal grills.

If you’re ready to buy a new charcoal grill, you should know they usually run cheaper than their gas counterparts. Last May, we saw basic charcoal models for as low as $31, and in June we saw them anywhere from $30 to $79. However, if you’re shopping bigger ceramic models, expect those to cost much more from $600 upward, depending on brand and size.

Online Check the box before you start assembling the grill to make sure all of the parts are included and not broken or damaged. If something is missing, call Lowes customer service . If you’re in the the market for a new grill, set a reminder for July 16-17 Lowe’s is having a massive online sale, including select grills and smokers. The sale begins at midnight on July 16, and ends midnight on July 17, as the hardware store intends to compete with deals.
Lowes.com is offering up to $100 off select grills and smokers, including the Char-Broil Gas2Coal Black Dual-Function Combo Grill.
