Are The Weber Grills In Big Box Stores The Same
JohnD said:Everyone, thank you for your responses. I realized after reading the responses that my original statement was misleading. The military discount would be my father’s, not mine. He’d be buying it with my cash. I’m very proud of his service and thankful for all the men and woman who have done so to protect our freedom. It would have been an insult to him, and all of them, for me not to have set the record straight. Again, sorry for not being clear in my original statement.
You tell your father that we all thank him for his service. Did you get your grill yet?
JohnD said:Well apparently the Lowe’s coupon specifically states that Weber and some other manufacturers do not qualify for the 10 % off. Home Depot wouldn’t honor it either for the same reason. While chatting with customer support online at Home Depot I asked if there was any other discounts that they could apply and they offered 5%. Not the discount I had hoped for but with the free shipping and not having to wait till the end of July I pulled the trigger and ended up ordering a Spirit E-320. It was the wife’s suggestion, and who am I to argue with upgrading, because when we lost power with Sandy we ended up using the side burner on our last grill since our electric stove was out of commission. Now I just have to wait for it to get here.

Char Broil Vs Weber A Showdown Of Old Favorites
Gas grills have a lot to offer to home BBQ enthusiasts. They are easy to use, do not involve some of the challenges and learning curve of charcoal grills, and make it possible to get started immediately without the need for additional equipment or experience.
Both Char Broil and Weber have been industry favorites when it comes to gas grills for a long time. If you are looking to purchase a gas grill, choosing a product from either brand can be a poignant way to get started. Both companies offer a wide range of products, features, and functionalities across various price points. By and large, however, Weber is more well-known for creating products that are high-quality, efficient, and durable while being a little more expensive. Char Broil, on the other hand, generally provides more budget offerings that come with a few compromises where they cut corners to keep the prices down. The information below will help end the debate of Weber vs Char Broil.

How We Tested Gas Grills
Over the course of four days in Spring 2017, we put our gas grills through a battery of tests designed to demonstrate their qualities and highlight their differences. We cooked burgers on high heat to see how well the grills seared meat and how intense and even was the heat they could generate across the whole grate surface. We slow-grilled cut-up chickens to see if the grills could hold a low temperature evenly across the whole grate. And we roasted whole chickens indirectly on both low and high heat to see if the grills could create browned skin and perfectly cook meat without charring. Sam Sifton, editor of the Cooking section of The New York Times joined us for these tests. In 2018 we repeated these tests, pitting the new Weber Spirit II E-310 against our upgrade pick, the Weber Genesis II E-310.
For the high-heat, whole-grate burger testan indicator of the grills ability to pump out uniform, high heat without creating an infernowe heated the grills on high with their lids down for 15 minutes . We then oiled the grates and distributed 12 to 15 6-ounce patties across the whole cooking surface. While the burgers cooked we kept an eye out for flare-upstheyre not desirable, as they char the meat and create rancid smokeand looked at the evenness of cooking on the different areas of the grates. After about 10 minutes of cooking , we compared how well each grill had seared the burgers, looked for any patties that were charred or still unacceptably raw, and took a taste.

freedbabyKeep in mind that the Weber grill you see at the big box stores is NOT the same product that you’d find at a local dealer. I learned the hard way…the customer service rep all but told me those exact words. The two I have now are from a local mom and pop Weber dealer.TorFedCan I just say I’m glad to see I’m not the only person who blackens on a grill? Most people/places just cook it in a buttered pan now.HeyUvaVTOur Ace store sells about 100 Weber’s a year along with Kamado Joe’s BGE’s Broil King and a few cheapo specials but Weber is king here.I can tell you 100% for a fact that the Weber you looked at in a HD or Lowes is NOT the same grill you get from an Ace Store .Weber makes a “P” model for all of its grills. EP-310 versus an E-310. The P models are the better quality models and the big boxes ARE able to order them but they usually order the less expensive ones because the margin is a little better.cobraownerI have the lowes JennAir grill. It sucks. It’s basically made by the Chinese company nexGrill and branded Jenair for lowes. They quit selling them a few years ago. Mine doesn’t have the cast burners. Our Pick: Weber Spirit Ii E
*At the time of publishing, the price was $500.
The Weber Spirit II E-310 is the best gas grill for most people, offering an unrivaled combination of top-notch grilling performance, a versatile three-burner design, durability, and an affordable price. It excelled at every test, producing the best sear of any grill on our burgers and equaling or outdoing the others on our barbecue chicken and whole roasted chickens. Its overall compact size suits almost any patio or deck, but its grilling surface is big enough to cook a complete meal for a family, or a dozen burgers for a party. With a thick cast-aluminum firebox, itll last for years. The company has refined the Spirits design for decades, too this version incorporates the easily accessible externally mounted tank and under-grill shelf from the Genesis II line. On top of this, its a particularly easy grill to assemble, maintain, and use and it comes in four colors . Finally, at its current price of around $500, its a terrific value.
With 424 square inches of cooking space, the Spirit II E-310 can easily accommodate 12 large hamburgers, two whole or cut-up chickens, or a large cut like brisket for smoking. Or it can cook a complete meal for five or six peoplethe three-burner design means you can, for instance, sear steak or fish on one side of the grill and cook vegetables on lower heat on the other. And you can cook them really well.

Serving Those Who Serve
We would like to give a special thank you shout out to all of the men and women serving our country in the US Armed Forces.
For our fans at home, some retailers offer discounts to current and retired Military personnel on certain items. If a discount is not offered on a Weber product you may be told that this is a policy of Weber. Any in-store discounts or sales advertised by a retailer are not controlled in any way by Weber. Webers MAP policies only relate to advertised prices, which is very different from in-store discounts, sales or programs. If retailers and their employees are not clear on the difference between a sale price and an advertised price, they may respond that Weber won’t let them give discounts which is not correct. If youre told that Weber wont allow a store to give you a discount on a Weber product you may want to try speaking with a store manager, or someone more knowledgeable about discount policies.
We have the utmost gratitude and respect for past and present members of our US Armed Forces for the sacrifices they have made to uphold the freedoms that we hold dear and we are ready and happy to help them in any way that we can.

Weber Grills Models: Home Depot Vs Lowes
The grills have become important for everyone who loves crispy veggies and perfectly-cooked steaks and meat. But again, using the right grill will directly influence the grilling experience and quality of food.
Also, what can be better than Weber grills, right? In this article, we are sharing Weber grills Home Depot vs. Lowes, so you know which Weber grills are available at Home Depot and Lowes!
Scratch And Dent Opportunities
Another great way to get a deal on a Weber is to look for slightly damaged models at Lowes or Home Depot. I usually find the slightly damaged grills out in the Garden department hidden away from the pristine floor models.
I have spotted multiple gas grills that have been marked down by several hundred dollars because of various degrees of cosmetic damage or missing parts.
Sometimes the damage is as simple as the fact that the grill is missing the burner control knobs or one of the cooking grates. Problems like these are a simple fix that can be resolved with a quick call to Weber customer service.
Sometimes the damage includes dents to the cabinetry, side shelves or lid. This type of damage is a tough call as it does not impact grilling performance but does leave you looking at an ugly grill. Considering that the grill is going to last you at least a decade, that is a long time to be staring at a dent!

Does Lowes Put Gas Grills Together
To get a deep discount on a gas grill or charcoal grill, the best time to buy is in and the Fall. You will begin to see deals after the fourth of July, the pinnacle of the grilling season. But there are still weeks of good grilling weather ahead, so the best prices are yet to come.
Secondly, how long does it take to put a grill together? Unpacking all the parts took a good 15-20 minutes. The assembly took me around 70 minutes and I used manual tool only. If you have a power screwdriver things would be faster for sure.
Subsequently, one may also ask, does Home Depot put grills together?
The grill you want might be in a store near you. If it’s not, Home Depot will ship it free of charge to a store where you can pick it up. Assembly at the retailer is free, and the company says most grills are ready the day of purchase.

Why Are Weber Grills So Expensive
The truth is that Weber grills are not that expensive.
You have the impression that Webers are expensive because you are doing a side by side comparison with something like a Nexgrill, DynaGlow or Char Broil grill.
Those other grills are cheap because they are made of thin painted metal that is going to rust out in one to three years.
Webers are built to last with almost all of them carrying a ten year warranty .
When you compare the cost of a Weber against other grills that will last a decade or more you will find that Webers are very competitively priced.
The factors that go into the price of a Weber include:
- Materials of Construction: Either porcelain coated steel, cast iron or stainless steel for most components.
- Engineering and Design: These grills are not randomly slapped together. There is some serious engineering that goes into them.
- Customer Support: If you ever need help with your grill then Weber has a team of experts waiting to give you a hand. Their customer support is legendary.
If you are still on the fence about the value proposition about a Weber then head over to your local Craigslist or Facebook Marketplace. Chances are that you can pick up a used Weber for a bargain, spend a few bucks on replacement parts and see what you think.
