Though you can certainly top this grilled corn with any of your favorite herbs or cheese , I prefer the simple combination of fresh lime and a bit of Aleppo pepper. The smoky charring, heat from the Aleppo and citrus all combine perfectly for a mouth-watering snack.

How To Make Grilled Corn In Foil: A Few Tips
All you really need to know for making grilled corn in foil is the grill temperature and the cook time. Once youve got that down: memorize this recipe and make it on repeat! Theres one other thing to remember about the foil. Heres what you need to know :
- Preheat a grill to medium high heat: thats 375 to 450 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Place the corn on foil and season. Rub it with olive oil, cover with salt and pepper, and then place a few pats of butter on top.
- Wrap the corn in foil loosely! When you go to wrap the corn in foil, seal the edges but dont make the wrapper too tight. Then poke a few holes in the aluminum foil to allow air to escape.
- Grill 20 to 25 minutes, turning occasionally. Check the corn to see if its bright yellow and cooked the timing will depend on the exact grill temeprature.
Tie Back The Husk To Form A Handle
For our grilled corn on the cob, we take it even a step further than most recipes. Instead of pulling off the husk, tie it back to form a makeshift handle for eating it! This makes the messy job of eating corn on the cob a breeze. You dont have to do the tie-off method: you can also simply husk the corn. But its a fun feature when you have the time! Here are a few tips for this method:
- Be patient! This method takes a little longer, but its worth it. It takes about 15 minutes for 8 cobs of corn.
- Start with the outer-most leaf. Pull down the outer-most leaf first. Then keep pulling down one leaf at a time, gradually working your way around the corn.
- Cracks are ok. You may notice some leaves crack when you pull them back: thats completely ok! Just keep pulling the remaining leaves it doesnt have to be perfect.

Why Should You Grill Corn On The Cob In Foil
When you grill corn on the cob in foil, the prep is minimal and the kernels turn out so moist and flavorful. The foil traps the steam and corn juices to keep the ears from drying out so theres no need for pre-soaking the corn.
On hot summer days, you can avoid turning on your stove by cooking foil-wrapped corn outside on the grill. Cooking corn in foil requires hardly any prep and is the easiest method. It is also quick and takes just 15-20 minutes on a grill at medium/high heat.

This isnt a low n slow dish, so you want your grill to be at least medium heat. Some people crank up the flames or stoke the coals until theyre white-hot, but I think its better to rein it in a bit and aim for medium-high for better control.
Theres no need to worry about temperature zones with corn direct heat is the way to go. You could try to roast over indirect heat, but youre more likely just to dry out the corn.
So aim for a grill grate temp of about 350f.
