Are Your Parts Under Warranty
One last thing I recommend you do before buying parts is to READ your warranty. These grills come from Weber built to last and backed by a serious warranty that they fully support. The burner tubes carry a ten year warranty while other parts have coverage that varies between three to five years.
If you cant find the warranty for your gas grill then get in touch with Weber directly and they can help you determine what parts of your grill are still covered. Weber has great support and shipping costs are usually free for parts under warranty.

Weber Genesis Silver Gold And Platinum Parts
The Silver, Gold and Platinum were all three burner grills with side mounted burner controls. Differences in the styling between these grills involved stainless steel components, extended side tables, side burners, etc.
Despite the differences in trim, these grills had the same grill box dimensions and all share the same replacement parts.

How Do You Replace The Igniter On A Weber Summit Grill
The steps are similar on most older Weber grills:
Ignition Kits And Burner Tubes
There was a change in the ignition systems during their years of production but it is pretty easy to spot. The older systems have a black push button and are held in place with a lock nut.
The newer systems had a red button and snapped into place.
The burner tubes were identical for all of the grills.

My Personal Goal For This Site Is To Help Get You The Right Parts In Under Five Minutes
This site does NOT have any information on converting your grill from Liquid Propane to Natural Gas. I see this question on the barbecue forums on a regular basis. Converting your grill from one fuel source to another is a practice that Weber advises against and I will follow their lead on this one.
Another place where I am not very helpful is with the side tables. I simply dont have a reliable source for the different thermoset and stainless side tables that came with the different grills. Sorry about that.
I have links to hundreds of parts on this website. If you click a link and buy something from Amazon then I will make a little money and I thank you in advance.
For some parts I have linked to the original Weber replacement parts. For other parts I have linked to third party manufacturers who are offering the exact same part at a much better price.

Weber Q2000 Liquid Propane Grill
The Weber Q gas grill comes with only one stainless-steel burner but it produces 12,000 BTU which is pretty neat. You can prepare up to 15 hamburger on the grill because it has 280 sq. inches of cooking space. That is actually pretty big for a Weber tabletop gas grill.
This small Weber gas grill comes with the cooking grates made of porcelain-enameled cast-iron. The same story is with the body, it is made of the aluminum. Including the lid on the grill, the overall dimension of the model is 14.5H x 51.4W x 19.5D inches. The Weber compact gas grill is lightweight and portable which is great if you want to move it around.
You can easily control the entire cooking process on the Weber portable gas barbecue with a push-button for ignition and valve settings made for burners control. The lid comes with a thermometer so you can be sure what is the temperature inside the Weber round gas grill. The juice for the grill comes in disposable 14.1 or 16.4 oz. LP cylinders, but you have to buy them separately.
One of the most interesting features of this Weber propane grill is the fold-down side tables on both sides. That tables provide you with additional space so you can prepare what you need for the best meal ever. When you arent using it you can simply fold it back.
- Easy to start ignition system
- Fold-down table for more space

Propane Gas Tank For Grill
A gas grill propane tank provides the gas for the gas grills. You can buy most propane tanks for grills at your local or chain hardware or grocery stores. Once you used up all of the gas and the tank is empty, you have two option you can either refill the tank yourself or exchange it for a full replacement tank at a local retailer.
This is not a real gas grill part, but it is a part you have to have if you want your grill to work. You cant start a fire without the fuel so make sure that you always have a spare propane gas tank for grill so you can grill your meal at any time.
It is hard to tell which type or even brand for this situation is the best. It actually depends on a lot of things so if you have one propane tank for the grill you are satisfied with, I strongly recommend you to stick to it and use only that one.
Gas Grill Ignitor
Today, most gas grills come with electric instastart ignitiors that turn the grill on within seconds. You dont have to use matches or lighters, you simply have to push the button on the gas grill ignitor. If you lose the ignitor, you have to find the gas grill ignitor replacement so you can start the grill in peace. Most gas grill ignitor parts are made universal so you can replace only the component that broke like spark generator, button ignitor etc.

Four Or Six Main Burners
The Weber Summit Grills will have 4 or 6 mainburners. There is the Summit 400 Series , the 600 Series , and the Silver, Gold and Platinum Series.
We always recommend measuring your parts and comparing them to our part description to be absolutely sure.
Does your Grill have wood shelves? Then it is most likely a Genesis 1000-5500 and has 13 flavorizer bars.
Plastic Shelves? These grill would likely be a Spirit or a Silver, A , B or C
Older Weber grills , and Platinum I/II ) gas grills used a piezo ignition. In fact, it wasnt until the introduction ofthe E or S series in the Genesis and Spirit that a battery-operated sparkgenerator was introduced.
The Genesis 2007 grills have Side Control knobs and use a2-port spark generator and have the burners running left to right and have more BTUs than the older grills.

Genesis 2011-2016 had a major changein the burner orientation. They moved from horizontal to vertical. They hadused the horizontal orientation for decades. This moved the controls to thefront of the grill. This grill uses a 4-spark generator and Heat deflectors
Genesis II Grills have flat tube burners versus round tube burners. All of the Genesis II open cart grills are imported. The closed cart is Made in the US though many of the parts components are imported. These grills have either 2,3,4 or 6 Main Burners.

How Can I Tell How Much Gas Is In My Weber Grill
Use the side burner to create an outdoor kitchen at your grill. Simmer BBQ sauce or sauté veggies while the main course grills under the lid. The LED display is a quick, easy way to see how much gas is in the tank. Control knobs that light up with a push of a button for optimal control while night-time grilling.

Ignition Systems And Burner Tubes
The Genesis 300 series grills made in the first year of production, 2007, have minor differences in the ignition systems and burner tubes than the grills made in 2008-2010.
You can tell if your Genesis 310 or 320 was made in 2007 by the ignition assembly. Grills made in 2007 have a METAL box covering the sparking electrode. Here is what a 2007 ignition system looks like.
If the electrode housing on your grill looks like what is pictured above then it was made in 2007. Here are the proper links to the correct burner tubes and ignition kit .
The Genesis grills made between 2008-2010 have a white ceramic housing for the sparking electrode. Here is what a 2008-2010 ignition system looks like.
If the electrode housing on your grill looks like what is pictured above then it was made between 2008 and 2010. Here are the proper links to the correct burner tubes and ignition kit .
Flavorizer Bars = 235 Inches
Here is really tricky part of the Weber product line! These Flavorizer bars are limited to Weber Genesis Gold and Platinum grills made between 2000 and 2001. You will see a lot of negative comments on Amazon for some of these parts from people with later model Genesis Gold grills buying the wrong part.
I have a 2001 Weber Genesis Gold and it took me a while to figure out what was going on with these parts
Ignition system: There are two different ignition systems for these grills .
If the top of the ignitor is red then you need the Snap Fit Igniter Kit.
If the top of the ignitor is black then you need the Lock Nut Igniter Kit.

Understand The Quality Differences In The Parts
In general you will have three choices for replacement Flavorizer bars. Weber offers these bars in porcelain enameled steel or stainless steel. The ones made of porcelain enameled steel are cheaper, will easily last you three years and work just as well as ones made from stainless steel. If you do want longer lasting ones then go with the heavy duty option made by third party sellers. These are typically made of 18 gauge stainless steel and usually cost much less than the ones offered by Weber.
In general you will also have three choices for replacement grill grates. The grates made from porcelain steel are the cheapest and work okay. Your other two choices are grates made from stainless steel or cast iron. I love the thought, look and feel of cast iron but when it comes to grilling I really have to recommend the stainless steel. Stainless steel grates will give you better grill marks than cast iron grates any day of the week. In addition, stainless steel is easier to clean and will last longer than cast iron.
What Is The Difference Between Weber Genesis And Summit
This series is larger grills that are very nice without falling into the high-end category. They fall into a mid-range category. The Genesis grills do have some additional features to a standard grill but the Summit is a high-end grill so it may have even more bells and whistles to catch your attention.

How Do I Find Replacement Parts For My Grill
Many of our longtime Weber fans have grills that are 15, 20 even 30 years old and they are still going strong. Over the years various parts on these grills might need to be replaced and we are often asked if there are still replacement parts available. As a general rule, we do our best to keep replacement parts in stock up to 10 years after a grill has been discontinued but often times we carry parts for even longer than that. For example we still carry grates and Flavorizer bars for some of the original 1985 Genesis grills.
Most of the replacement parts on our website are for wear and tear or more commonly replaced items such as grates, Flavorizer bars or igniter kits. If there is something you cant find for your grill there is a good chance that we might have it available through our call center. They can be reached at 1-800-446-1071 and are open every day.
We encourage you to have the serial number on your grill available when calling. The serial number clearly identifies which model you have and will allow us to know exactly which parts are correct for your specific grill. Click here to learn how to find the serial number on your grill.
So if you cant find what you are looking for on Weber.com pick up that phone and give us a call. We are ready and waiting to help get your grill up and running again or back into shape!
