Where Is Napoleon Grills Made

Gas Vs Charcoal Vs Electric

How a NAPOLEON Grill is made – BRANDMADE.TV

Charcoal grills are known for offering that distinct smoky and charbroiled flavour that BBQ aficionados love. Theyre the most traditional grill to purchase and tend to sear vegetables and meats quickly giving it that caramelized exterior. While charcoal grills deliver an excellent flavour, the smoke can be a pain to deal with, and theyre not easy to maintain. It also takes a longer time before youre able to start grilling, and you cant turn your charcoal grill off after youre done; instead, youve got to wait for the briquettes to cool.

With gas grills, it requires a larger amount of space so youll need to make sure youve got a sizable backyard. If youre not familiar with propane gas tanks, gas grills can also be dangerous to use. In comparison to charcoal and electric grills; however, gas grills have more features, and theyll still give your food that nice barbecue flavour. Foods are also cooked quickly, and you wont have to worry about inhaling carcinogens.

Napoleon Vs Weber A Look At The Brands

While the Napoleon vs Weber debate has been simmering for some time now, the two brands are quite different in terms of experience and perception. Weber has been THE giant in the grill market for many decades and has a large, faithful user base.

Napoleon, on the other hand, is a Canadian upstart that is trying to get a foothold in the market with both premium and budget offerings while maintaining quality standards.

A look at these brands, their histories, and their relative strengths and weaknesses can help you make an initial choice in this grill debate.

Napoleon Prestige 500 Vs Weber Genesis Ii S

The Napoleon Prestige 500 Is an excellent mid-range proposition, combining exemplary quality and features with a competitive price. This stainless-steel grill has four burners for a total of 48,000 BTUs of heat generation. However, there is also a 14,00 BTU infrared side burned and an 18,000 BTU infrared rear burner, giving you incredible flexibility when it comes to cooking different dishes at the same time. The side burner, dubbed the Sizzle Zone, can reach a temperature of 800F in a matter of seconds. A combined cooking area of 760 square inches further adds to the appeal.

Inside, you will find dual-level sear plates that work incredibly well, the accurate Accu-Probe temperature gauge, a rotisserie burning system for whole birds and roasts, and exceptional durability with locking castors for stability. A unique backlight system makes it easy to locate and use the burner knobs in low-light conditions. The folding side shelves and utensil hooks make for convenient operation and the closed cart design keeps your storage area protected.

The well-designed drip zone and the wave-shaped porcelain-enameled grates, coupled with a solid lid design, can help with heat retention and transmission and as a result, the grill gets up to temperature very quickly.

New Webinar: 12 Unique Kitchen Appliances to Consider

When I started at Yale in 1986, there wasn’t much choice for BBQ;grills. You bought a $300 grill to replace after a few years.

Then the professional grill with companies like Viking, Lynx and Wolf;were marketed with solid stainless construction and high BTU output. So 10 years ago, you had your $300 grill or a better grill at about $4,000 .

Then Weber popularized a quality, well constructed grill between $420 to $2,500 and really dominated the whole category. It was cheaper to buy a Weber once rather than a cheaper grill every few years. At the same time, it is a good, less expensive substitute to the expensive pro options.

Weber for the last few years has had very little competition. Until Now.

Napoleon is a large Canadian version of Weber with really interesting features at a decent price. Let’s see how they compare.

Which Grill Should You Choose Weber Or Napoleon

How a NAPOLEON Grill is made

Weber Summit Series and Napoleon Prestige Pro are equal in quality and have very similar features. In some instances, the Napoleon Prestige Pro is priced slightly higher than the Summit but the lifetime warranty more than makes up for the difference in price.

It also depends on your needs. If you are looking for a built-in grill, Napoleon offers a larger product offering than Weber. Weber only offers a couple of built-in grills as they are really not in that market.;

Napoleon has really expanded their outdoor kitchen offerings at exceptional pricing and warranty.

If you are looking for a grill on a cart, it is a toss up when it comes to the Summit Series vs Prestige and Prestige PRO.;

The Napoleon Prestige is a much better grill than the Weber Genesis II series. We would consider it more to be a stripped down Summit.;

In addition, the Napoleon Prestige warranty cannot be beat! In fact, Napoleon has a better warranty on their Rogue series which is comparable to some of the Genesis II models and the Spirit series. The Rogue has a 15 year top to bottom warranty and Weber offers the same 10 year warranty on all of their grills.;

Can I Clean The Stainless Steel Cooking Grids And If So How

Stainless steel cooking grids are much more durable compared to cast iron cooking grids and are resistant to damaging corrosion. As such, they dont require the same level of attention. With that being said, if you want to ensure that your stainless steel cooking grids are at their cleanest, its best to clean after each use.

You want your grill to still be hot when you clean your stainless steel grids. So use a grill brush that has stainless steel bristles to thoroughly clean your grids. Alternatively, Napoleon offers a bristle-free Super Wave Grill Brush that works wonders on stainless steel cooking grids.

If you wish to clean your grids at a time other than directly after using the grill, preheat your unit to at least 500°F for around 10 or 15 minutes. When it is completely hot, use your brush to remove any existing debris from your cooking grids.

Napoleon Rogue 425 Propane Gas Grill

Napoleon Kettle Grill Review – Kettle Charcoal Grill Pro22k LEG | Napoleon Grills

Moving away from the portable side of grilling and shifting our focus to more stationary units, Napoleons Rogue 425 is a mid-range grill that means business.

Upping the ante to a total of three burners, the Rogue is a work of art that provides a large grilling area and plenty of heat. Each burner delivers a sizzling 12,000 BTUs, for a combined total of 36,000 BTUs across all three burners. A built-in gauge helps you keep track of the grills temperature.

But thats not all the heat you get with the Rogue, no sir. Built into the left shelf is a gas range burner, making it easier to whip up side dishes while your main food is cooking. And if you usually have difficulty lighting your grill, you will be pleased to know that the Rogue comes equipped with a failsafe ignition system.

Couple that with 425 square inches of surface area and youre looking at a serious grilling companion. We love the black stainless steel construction and cast-iron cooking grids. No part of the Rogue is an afterthought, providing you with a well-made unit that is sure to stand the test of time.

Directly below the grill is a built-in cabinet that hides the propane tank. There is also a natural gas version available if you prefer, but just know that the large cutout for the propane tank remains. Youll want to use a piece of plywood or something similar to cover this hole, else the cabinet is pretty much worthless.

Guide Review Napoleon Prestige P500

In 2012, Napoleon super-sized their main line of gas grills taking them from three to four burners and increasing the primary grilling space from 450 square inches to 500. This gives a bigger grill with even higher heat output. The P500 is the most basic of the Prestige line offering nothing more than a simple 4-burner gas grill. Of course, it still contains all of the Napoleon features that make these great grills.

At the heart of any good gas grill is the cooking system. Everything else is just cosmetics. Unfortunately, many grill makers put more flash and substance in their grills. Napoleon, like a small handful of companies, makes a good grill. The high-quality stainless steel burners produce a high, even temperature; while the porcelain coated cooking grates in the wave pattern give excellent heat contact.

Napoleon grills have excellent construction from high-quality components. This is a grill on par with grills by Weber or Broil-King.

Napoleon’s Jetfire ignition is a small gas jet ignited by an electric spark that shoots a burst of flame over the burners. This causes a quick and dependable flame.

Napoleon Prestige Pro 500 Vs Weber Summit S

The Napoleon Prestige Pro 500 Is truly a premium product, packing luxury features in a competitively priced package. The sturdy design stands well to rough use and is a breeze to set up thanks to clear instructions from the manufacturer.

The ease of use sets this grill apart, with a LED-illuminated control panel and the reliable Jetfire continuous spark ignition system that fires properly every time. The grill can work with either propane or natural gas depending on the version you choose while buying. The attractive design is married with convenience with foldable side tables for prepping, a closed cart design for protected storage, and built-in instrument hooks and a bottle opener.

Infrared side burner gets to 1800F for amazing searing power.

The locking castors ensure excellent stability during use and the stainless-steel construction, coupled with the massive warranty, can ensure that this grill serves you well for many years to come.
