Weber Multipurpose Q1400 Electric Grill
Restyled from Weber Q140 to Weber Q1400 in 2014, the grill still offers the same great performance and sleek styling as its predecessors but adds new aesthetics which are both functional and fun. Some of these include a larger grip handle and control knob, sturdy front and rear cradles, ergonomic side handles, etc. The grill raises the bar on flavor expectations and performance of an electric grill. The Weber Q1400 comes with tremendous features yet it is space saving and portable. It is the perfect appliance for grillers living in condos or residence that has restrictions on gas and charcoal grill usage.
Can I Spray Pam On My George Foreman Grill
Again, I dont know if the manufacturer would recommend that-but I can tell you that I do that with my George Foreman contact grill and it works perfectly. The heat has no trouble penetrating through the foil and clean-up takes a few seconds. Also, you can spray the foil with cooking spray.
Can you put butter on a George Foreman grill? Though it is a non-stick grill, it works even better if you use oil to further reduce the stickiness. You want to use a healthy oil and not butter or a fattening oil. After all, this grill is reducing the fat in your meats, so it doesnt make sense to add more fat back in. Olive oil fat is healthy fat.
Questions About These Or Other Outdoor Electric Bbq Grills
Matthew on July 21, 2017:
Personally, I love the Weber Q Series electric grills. They bring the Weber quality we all know and love to the world of electric grilling. Yes, youre going to have to pay up a bit, but its so worth it.
The Weber Q 1400 has some nice bells and whistles to it. First, the grill looks damn nice. They designed the grill to both function well and holdup over time due to its construction. Second, the grill delivers authentic flavor. This Weber can hit the 300 degree temps no problem.
Does it have some downsides? Of course, all grills do. Grilling space ends up being limited on this grill, and for its price point thats a bit disappointing. My full thoughts on the grill can be found at . Overall the Weber rocks.
Electric grills really make for a solid choice for anyone needing one. Apartment dwellers, condo denizens, and RVers all can benefit bigly from their addition.

Performance: Cast Iron Cooking Grates Provide A Great Sear
Since this is an outdoor-only electric grill that creates a fair amount of smoke, its unsafe to use inside the home. We placed it on our patio in Brooklyn, New York, and put it to work preparing veggie shish kebabs, hanger steak, and marinated chicken breast for a BBQ party.
Overall, we were really pleased with the outcome of our meal. One major positive is the cast iron cooking grates, which gave us drool-worthy sear marks on everything we grilled. The food tasted great, but we did miss the true smoky flavor that can only come from a charcoal grill.
We were super pleased with these grates, as they gave us drool-worthy sear marks during different grill sessions.
We also loved that Weber included a grilling guide detailing the total time and heat level recommended for different types of food. This was a really helpful reference to make sure we werent over- or undercooking any of our meats. One thing we did learn in our tests is not to open the lid too much during grilling, as heat escaped and affected our grilling process.

The Best Indoor Grill Overall: Zojirushi Electric Indoor Grill
Im a big fan of Zojirushi, from my rice cooker to my hot water dispenser, so I had high hopes for this grill, given my very positive history with the brand. It did not disappoint. Of the five grills tested, it got the hottest by far. It left distinguishable grill marks on the chicken and even lightly charred the zucchini, despite having a max temperature of 41F, as per the owners manual. The nearly 160-square-inch cooking surface was one of the largest cooking areas I tested, leaving plenty of room to grill four chicken thighs and two sliced zucchinis. It is also an open grill , which allows grease to gather on a separate drip pan.
Temperature control is done by a dial, which can be set to low, medium, or high, though I couldnt envision a scenario where you wouldnt want to grill on the highest setting. I was especially impressed with how little smoke was produced, given how well it seared the chicken and zucchini. Once the grill was cool, cleanup was a breezeits nonstick, so all the little bits of fond from the chicken just wiped away. This unit is hand-wash only, but washing everythingthe grill, base, and drip traytook only a couple of minutes. While the flavor of the food wasnt what you might expect from an outdoor grill, I would say that this was as close as you can expect to get from an indoor grill. And for about $110 at the time of publication, thats a pretty good deal.

How Do Indoor Grills Work
Indoor grills work in a similar fashion to hot plates and infrared stove-tops. The heating technology utilized in most indoor grills is infrared which cooks food thoroughly with little to zero smoke.
Indoor grills also create less grease and oil splatter than traditional stove-top cooking and outdoor grilling. Most indoor grills even come with drip trays which keep things much cleaner and produce even less smoke and vapors.
As far as power goes, 99.9-percent of indoor grills run on electricity and plug right up to normal household power outlets. Technically, you could even set up a temporary cooking area in the dining or living room and safely and efficiently get your indoor grilling on.
Now, before moving on, we want to point out that you can not grill inside with an outdoor grill. No matter how well-ventilated your home is, charcoal and gas grills create high amounts of carbon monoxide. All indoor grilling must be done with a proper indoor grill.

Does Food Taste Good On An Electric Grill

A standard outdoor grill involves live, open fire, whereas an indoor grill does not.
