    Pin on Grilled ribs charcoal

At last, youre ready to throw those ribs on the grill. Believe it or not, this is actually the simplest part. Because your ribs are already fully cooked, tender, and flavorful, all youre really doing is a reverse sear to get some color and roasty-toasty flavor. This is also when you coat your ribs in a BBQ sauce, which will caramelize and become sticky on the grill.

You can use a gas or charcoal grill for this.

  • Preheat your grill. If your ribs are coated in sweet barbecue sauce, preheat the grill to medium. Otherwise, you can grill them over a hotter grill but you need to pay close attention to them so they wont burn.
  • Place your rack of rib, individual ribs or sections on a preheated grill over direct heat and brush on your BBQ sauce evenly in one layer. For individual ribs, it may be easier to toss them in barbecue sauce before placing on the grill.
  • Once you see an appealing brown color on them with some dark spots and the barbecue sauce thickens and gets sticky around the edges, they are ready and you can remove them from the grill. Thats all thats to it!

This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Weber Sauces & Seasonings. The opinions and text are all mine. They inspired me to share with you how to make the perfect BBQ ribs! When you think of summer, what comes immediately to mind? For my family, it is our time to hang out together, take a few road trips and plenty of summer BBQs in the backyard. When I see my husband grab his BBQ tool kit and start cooking, it catapults me back to when I was a kid. My dad had a rocking chair on our patior. He would sit in that chair and rock in between bastings and brushings and turning of the chicken, steak or grilled BBQ ribs.

The overhang that covered the upper deck of the patio was covered in green opaque plastic sheets. When the light came through the plastic, it made the most gorgeous hues of color on the patio. I would lay on the chaise lounge with my little sister, watching the color bounce off the metal of the chairs, inhaling the smoky smell of grilled BBQ ribs cooking.

My dad made The.Best.Ribs.Ever. His ribs were moist, juicy and he achieved this on the grill. He didnt parboil or steam his ribs. I know many people worry their ribs will be tough, so they feel compelled to take those extra steps. Not in our house! That was almost sacrilegious! Dad had a few secrets up his sleeve for his grilled BBQ ribs and they were the best on the block!

How to Barbeque Ribs – Allrecipes

Ive found that the sweet spot for cooking ribs on the grill is about one hour. Yes, many barbecue restaurants will cook for hours and hours. This is more of a slow-cooking method and theyve got pitmasters to watch those grills like a hawk for hours at a time.

I personally dont have time for that. So if you want to cook pork ribs on the grill at home, I recommend grilling them for 45 minutes with just the dry rub, then dousing them with bbq sauce, flipping them over, and grilling for an additional 15 minutes.

If youre cooking grilled beef ribs, you may need a little more time simply because beef ribs are typically bigger than pork ribs. Adjust your initial cooking time by adding about 15 minutes. If the ribs have an internal temperature of between 200 and 203 degrees F, theyre done and you can move onto the saucing step!
