Weber 57067001 Q3200 Natural Gas Grill

Anyone recognize this model? Weber Genesis ??? Need to replace the ...

    Why youll love it:

Another contender for my affection for portable grills is the Weber Q3200. What can I say? I like to take my grilling with me everywhere I go.

This model has a futuristic look which if you ask me adds to its charm.

But here is what it can really do:

It offers users two stainless steel burners, so you can cook entire meals for a large group. I appreciate the workhorse nature of this grill and clearly Weber created it to withstand consistent use, because the body and lid are both cast iron.

    What we didnt like

    • Cooking space is constrained

Why does that matter so much? Stay with me for a moment.

We have established that cast iron retains heat. This grills grates are made from cast iron and porcelain which also retain heats. If the overall construction is aimed at retaining heat, that means this grill is built to be a very fast cooker!

Pure genius on the part of Weber!

Plus, it is environmentally-friendly because it uses natural gas.

If your grill was made from 1979 to 2014, the top vent on the lid will have one of these serial numbers which is a one or two lettered date code listed below.

    • A:1979 G:1985 N:1991 EI:1997 DT:2003 DE:2009
    • B:1980 H:1986 O:1992 EZ:1998 DH:2004 AD:2010
    • C:1981 J:1987 P:1993 EE:1999 DO:2005 AA:2011

    • F:1984 M:1990 ER:1996 DU:2002 DZ:2008 AH:2014

Beginning in 2013, a serial number was added just above the two-letter date code. As of 2015, Weber has switched over to these individualized serial numbers that begin with a two letter prefix. 2014 was the last year for the two-letter code system. See below.CN####### = 2013*

*: Used in conjunction with date codes AT and AH respectively.

**: Used exclusively. There is no two letter only date code in 2015.

: There are no true D code only kettles or WSMs known to exist. There are examples of 1981 C code Webers that have been seen with a small D stamped near or on the opposite side of the C stamp. These examples are believed to be the actual 1982 kettles and WSMs.

How Do I Know What Model Weber Grill I Have

The serial number consists of one or two letters found on the lid damper, plus the bar code containing 5 or 6 numbers, under the control panel. Located on the rear panel. Also located in the upper right-hand corner of owners manual. Older units had a bar code underneath the stainless steel charbin cover.

    Burners And Warming Trays

Many Weber gas grills feature side burners, which you can use for whipping a sauce or grilling vegetables while you prepare meat in the main cooking area. Some models have two burners while others have up to six. Once again, consider how many people you usually cook for to determine the number of burners youll need.

Some Weber gas grills also have warming trays to keep cooked food warm while you finish grilling.

Fitting The Kit And Connecting The Grill

Weber Genesis Premium Gas Grill Component Overview – BBQGuys.com
  • Turn all gas control knobs to the off position and switch the LP tank off before you disconnect and remove.
  • Open the lid of the grill and remove the warming rack, cooking grates and flame tamers so you have clear access to the burner tubes and other connections.
  • Remove any carry over tubes if you have them. They have simple hitch pins that slide out with a firm push. Once out, the carryovers will lift off.
  • Remove the rear hitch pins from the burner tubes and any front ones that may be hidden from view. The burner tubes then lift out and disconnect from the gas valves with a firm pull. If they resist, double check all springs and clips have been removed, as you dont want to damage them.
  • Set deep within the burner connection hole will be the orifices, these are small and usually brass. Remove them with the orifice removal tool that comes with the kit. These are mass-produced, and unfortunately, their tolerance can be rubbish, so use a good quality ¼ inch socket if it fails to fit tightly onto the jets. If they are loose fitting be sure to take it easy so the jets do not become rounded, and a quick squirt with some penetrating fluid should assist with removal.
  • If orifices are supplied simply screw them into the valves, and be sure not to over tighten as you will strip the thread on the orifices.
  • Pull off the burner control knobs from the front of the grill. Unscrew the screws underneath to remove the bezels and replace with the new ones that come with the kit.

    Weber 7470001 Summit S

    Why youll love it:

You may be wondering why the Summit range of Weber grills makes my top picks.

The truth is that this range of Weber grill has the best functionality and features.

Take this Summit S-670 grill for example.

Not only is it a beast in size, it is fitted with the best features that I love on a grill.

From having 10 burners to the closed cart where I can store my grilling tools, I find this grill convenient and fast.

Over and above the features, which truly shape your grilling experience, the fact that this grill uses natural gas over propane makes it a winner for me.

    • Has storage space in the enclosed cart
    • Removable grease tray and catch pan
    • Environment-friendly fuel option

    What we didnt like

    • Because of the many burners, even the generous cooking space can get crowded when cooking lots of things at once.

    Think about it:

You can feed an entire village on natural gas! How environmentally-friendly and efficient is that? I love clean energy, and this grill feeds my love for the environment and my stomach at the same time.

I promise you that you can cook everything and anything on the Summit S-670.

And yes! The 670 stands for 670 square inches of cooking space.

Plus, it also has the infrared rotisserie burner.

We have more products under the summit series. See Weber Summit Charcoal Grill Review.

    Date Code: C

I was talking at work about building a drum smoker and a girl I work with overheard me. She said her husband had an old smoker that doesnt get used at all and offered to call him to see if it was something he wanted to get rid of. Turned out that he was, and this smoker has the date code of C.

Thanks for putting a website like this up and thanks for all the info to use my new to me old Smokey Mountain.

Weber 51010001 Q1200 Liquid Propane Grill

    Why youll love this:

I am sure I mentioned somewhere in here that I love portable grills. And the Q1200 is one of my favorites.

I also think by now it is clear I am sucker for color on my grills, and this model comes in an array of fantastic colors: red, green, fuschia, black, blue, orange and titanium.

    Dont ask!

Okay, yes. My favorite color is still red but that is not the reason I consider this the best portable grill.

    What We Didnt Like

    • Cooking timer can only go up to 99 minutes

The cooking surface area on the Performer Deluxe grill is 363 square inches, meaning it is not tiny, but it is not too bulky either. It is just enough to hold food for a small party.

I am also impressed by the ignition mechanism which is just a button. If you know how messy lighting charcoal can get, then you understand my enthusiasm over a button.

The grill offers users prep room, so that you can do all your food preparation in one place.

But my favorite aspect of this grill is the cart bottom that Weber used instead of the traditional three legs. It looks like a gas grill with a charcoal grill top. However if you want to achieve the smoker wood fire taste then you might want to check the Weber SmokeFire Pellet Grill.

But here is the best part:

This model has an aluminized steel one-touch cleaning system. Combine that with the porcelain enameled grate and this is a very easy grill to clean after use.

Are Natural Gas And Propane Grills The Same

    Weber Genesis S

Bottom line: there is NO performance difference between propane and natural gas unless youre grilling in the arctic. The only major difference is the convenience of natural gas and never running out of fuel. Your choice ultimately boils down to which fuel sources you have access to and the costs in your area.

How Do I Find Replacement Parts For My Grill

Many of our longtime Weber fans have grills that are 15, 20 even 30 years old and they are still going strong. Over the years various parts on these grills might need to be replaced and we are often asked if there are still replacement parts available. As a general rule, we do our best to keep replacement parts in stock up to 10 years after a grill has been discontinued but often times we carry parts for even longer than that. For example we still carry grates and Flavorizer bars for some of the original 1985 Genesis grills.

Most of the replacement parts on our website are for wear and tear or more commonly replaced items such as grates, Flavorizer bars or igniter kits. If there is something you cant find for your grill there is a good chance that we might have it available through our call center. They can be reached at 1-800-446-1071 and are open every day.

We encourage you to have the serial number on your grill available when calling. The serial number clearly identifies which model you have and will allow us to know exactly which parts are correct for your specific grill. Click here to learn how to find the serial number on your grill.

How Do I Identify My Weber Grill Model

How do I know, all in all, which kind of Weber grill I have? How do I know its model, etc? A great question. We will answer it here.

First of all, this is great information to not only find out but to also write down and keep somewhere handy for whenever you might need to replace any part on the grill, order the exact same grill , or anything else. Now, conveniently, Weber.com offers its own serial number tool which buyers can use at any time it exists just to help the customers lifetime Weber grill experience go a whole lot more smoothly and pleasantly, all in all. It seems they really have thought of everything. A Weber grill can sometimes be a pricy product, so the idea is for it to last and for the buyer to have every single little thing they need along the way, including, in this case, the actual model information.

Once you have found the serial number on the grill, you can just plug it into the serial number tool online, and bada bing! It will tell you what model of Weber grill that you have. Is that not genius? It seems Weber is also on top of things in terms of tracking every single type of model they have ever made, along with its respective serial number, just to save you and me a little bit of hassle. Thank you, Weber.

Make sure that the grill is nice and presentable, and you can at least distinguish what size and color it is. If you have a measuring tape, measure it and record the dimensions. Then tell them to the representative who is helping you.

Why Should You Convert To Natural Gas

Converting to natural gas ensures that you always have a constant supply of gas without the need to constantly be restocking on propane tanks and propane tank gauges.

This does present challenges in manoeuvrability however, as your grill be essentially fixed to the area immediately around your natural gas supply. So if you like to take your grill camping or tailgating then converting to natural gas wont be a practical course of action.

However if you only only tend to grill at home and are keen to save money on propane costs, then converting to natural gas is certainly something to consider.

The most important tool youll need for converting your propane grill to natural gas is a conversion kit. This is essentially a hose with brass fittings on either ends which can connect your propane grill to your natural gas pipe. The fitting for your grills manifold will however be specific to your brand, so be sure to buy one that is compatible with your gas grill.

Install your chosen conversion kit in line with the kits owners manual.

Here are some examples of brand or model-specific conversion kits that should work with your grill:

    • Tap directly into your natural gas supply and convert a propane gas grill
    • Perfect for hooking up the grill, fire pit, pizza oven, patio heater, and
    • Made of 100% solid brass fittings and sturdy rubber hose, provides a secure

    Are Your Parts Under Warranty

One last thing I recommend you do before buying parts is to READ your warranty. These grills come from Weber built to last and backed by a serious warranty that they fully support. The burner tubes carry a ten year warranty while other parts have coverage that varies between three to five years.

If you cant find the warranty for your gas grill then get in touch with Weber directly and they can help you determine what parts of your grill are still covered. Weber has great support and shipping costs are usually free for parts under warranty.
